Realme Narzo N63 Review: Fast Charging, With Entry-Level Trade-Offs

The Narzo N63 pairs a distinctive finish with review-tested fast charging, but its entry-level display and performance mean it suits basic use best.

The Realme Narzo N63 stands out for its distinctive vegan-leather-style back and genuinely quick charging: 91mobiles measured about 69 minutes to go from 20% to 100%. The trade-off is a basic 720p-class display and entry-level performance, so it makes most sense for buyers who value design and charging speed over gaming, camera consistency or 5G.

What the Narzo N63 gets right—and where it compromises

In its June 2024 review, 91mobiles gave the Narzo N63 an overall 7.5/10. It scored design 8.0, display 7.0, software 7.5, camera 6.5, performance 7.0 and battery 8.0. Those scores reflect that reviewer’s assessment, not a current retest. The clearest strengths were the styling and charging speed; the compromises are modest performance, limited display sharpness and uneven camera results.

The phone was introduced in India as the Narzo N63, while the Realme C63 name is used in other markets. That naming relationship does not establish that every regional C63 version has identical specifications. GSMArena’s launch report covers the India naming context.

Design: distinctive finish, with claims kept in perspective

Realme lists Leather Blue and Twilight Purple finishes and describes the rear as vegan leather. Its India product page gives a thickness of 7.74mm. 91mobiles praised the appearance, calling it “a good-looking smartphone with a vegan leather back.” These are useful reasons the N63 looks different from many inexpensive phones, but the material description is the manufacturer’s claim.

Realme also lists IP54 protection. This indicates dust protection and resistance to splashes, not waterproofing or suitability for submersion. The official page additionally advertises TÜV Rheinland Safe Fast-Charge System Certification and a “48-month Fluency Certification,” alongside a claim of “4 years of lag-free use.” Those are manufacturer statements; they are not independent proof that every handset will remain lag-free for four years. Realme’s India product page lists these claims and specifications.

Display: smooth scrolling, limited sharpness and outdoor brightness

The official specification is a 6.74-inch display with a 90Hz refresh rate and 560-nit peak brightness. GSMArena lists it as a 720 × 1600 IPS LCD. The higher refresh rate can make supported scrolling and animations look smoother than on a standard 60Hz panel, but it does not make the image more detailed: this remains an entry-level resolution on a large screen.

In its review, 91mobiles found outdoor brightness could be better. The 560-nit figure is Realme’s peak-brightness specification, not a guarantee that the panel sustains that brightness in every setting.

Performance and software: suitable for basics, not heavy workloads

The Narzo N63 uses a Unisoc T612 and was offered with up to 4GB of physical RAM and up to 128GB of storage, with microSD expansion. 91mobiles found everyday use and casual gaming satisfactory, but noted occasional lag while browsing and strain when many commands were issued. Expect an affordable phone for routine tasks rather than demanding games or consistently heavy multitasking.

Realme’s “4GB+4GB Dynamic RAM” wording combines physical memory with virtual memory; it does not mean the phone has 8GB of physical RAM. The review reported Realme UI based on Android 14 out of the box and some third-party apps that could be uninstalled. It also reported the brand’s promise of one major OS upgrade and up to two years of software updates. That is the review-era support promise, not confirmation of the phone’s current update status.

Battery and charging: the standout measured result

Realme specifies a 5000mAh typical battery capacity (4880mAh rated) and 45W charging. In 91mobiles’ test, the phone took about 69 minutes to charge from 20% to 100%. The review’s comparison figures were 110 minutes for the Moto G24 Power, 138 minutes for the itel P55 and 127 minutes for the Infinix Hot 40i. These are results from that review’s test conditions; they should not be treated as controlled, cross-publication laboratory comparisons.

Endurance was less exceptional than charging speed. 91mobiles recorded 13 hours 30 minutes in its PCMark battery test and described the result as comparatively low for the segment. Its separate intensive two-hour test drained 23%. These review-era measurements can vary with settings, signal, apps and usage, and should not be read as a prediction for every owner’s day.

Realme’s product page uses the phrase “1min charge for 1hr call” and lists company use-time claims including 34 hours of calling, 17.4 hours of video and 91.4 hours of music. These are manufacturer figures, not measurements from the 91mobiles review.

Cameras: decent daylight, but results depend on the scene

91mobiles described daylight photos as decent, but its comparisons did not show a universal camera winner. In one daylight comparison, the Narzo produced natural color and exposure against the Moto G24 Power; in a separate daylight comparison, the itel P55 preserved shadows better. In low light, the Moto G24 Power was clearly sharper and the itel P55 slightly clearer, according to the review.

For selfies, the review found the Infinix Hot 40i rendered skin texture more faithfully, while the Narzo image had a warmer tone and better exposure. These are specific comparisons in one review, not guarantees across scenes or a general ranking of the phones.

Features and omissions to weigh before buying

  • Air Gestures: Realme lists gesture controls as a feature; whether they are useful depends on how you use the phone.
  • No 5G: 91mobiles identified the Narzo N63 as lacking 5G. Do not buy it expecting 5G connectivity.
  • Mono speaker: The review notes a single-channel speaker, a limitation for stereo playback.
  • IP54, not waterproof: The rating offers dust and splash resistance as described by the source, not protection against submersion.

India launch price: historical, not a current buying quote

At launch in June 2024, India Today reported prices of ₹8,499 for 4GB/64GB and ₹8,999 for 4GB/128GB. The publication said an introductory ₹500 reduction applied through 14 June 2024, with sales beginning 10 June on realme.com and Amazon.in. These are historical launch details, not today’s price or proof of current stock. India Today’s launch report gives the original pricing and sale information.

Because those figures date to launch, check the seller’s current listing for the exact variant, availability, price and return terms before deciding whether the N63 is good value.

Who should consider the Realme Narzo N63?

The N63 is a better fit for someone who prioritizes a distinctive-looking budget phone and fast top-ups, and whose use is mostly messaging, calls, browsing and casual games. Its measured charging time is the strongest evidence in its favor.

Look elsewhere if you need 5G, a sharper screen, stronger multitasking, more dependable low-light photos or stereo sound. The measured battery-test result also gives reason to temper expectations if long endurance matters more than charging speed. For a 2024 review-era comparison, 91mobiles noted the Moto G24 Power’s larger 6000mAh battery, the itel P55’s 8GB onboard RAM and the Infinix Hot 40i’s 32MP front camera; those are not current market comparisons.
