That is a historical launch-price comparison, not a current deal quote. The GT 7T’s headline hardware differences are its listed MediaTek Dimensity 8400-MAX platform and 7000mAh typical battery; the GT 6T lists a Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 and 5500mAh typical battery. Both official pages advertise 120W charging.
Price difference: ₹2,000 at launch for 8GB/256GB
Moneycontrol reported the GT 6T at ₹32,999 for 8GB/256GB at its May 2024 India launch. Gadgets 360 reported a ₹34,999 starting price for the GT 7T 8GB/256GB in 2025 launch coverage. Subtracting those reported prices gives a ₹2,000 difference for matching memory and storage configurations; the launches took place in different years, so this is not a same-day market comparison. Moneycontrol’s GT 6T launch report and Gadgets 360’s GT 7T launch coverage provide the reported figures.

The same Moneycontrol report lists GT 6T launch prices of ₹35,999 for 12GB/256GB and ₹39,999 for 12GB/512GB, as well as an 8GB/128GB variant. These historical figures do not establish today’s prices. The realme Store listing surfaced both models but did not provide a usable numeric price, so current stock, discounts, and the live price gap are not established here. - 256GB ROM Storage, 8GB RAM
- Android 14, Realme UI 5.0, Qualcomm SM7675 Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 (4 nm), Octa-core (1x2.8 GHz Cortex-X4 & 4x2.6 GHz Cortex-A720 & 3x1.9 GHz Cortex-A520), Adreno 732
- Rear: 50MP+8MP, Front: 32MP
Performance: the chipset names differ, but the comparison is not a benchmark
realme lists a Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 in the GT 6T and a Dimensity 8400-MAX in the GT 7T. That identifies different platforms, but by itself does not show how much faster one phone is in everyday use, sustained gaming, or heat management. No independent side-by-side performance or thermal results are established here. The GT 7T India page also advertises up to 120 FPS modes for more than 20 games; treat this as a manufacturer statement rather than a guarantee for every game or setting.
Battery and charging: more rated capacity on the GT 7T
The GT 7T’s listed 7000mAh typical capacity is 1500mAh higher than the GT 6T’s 5500mAh typical capacity. Capacity alone does not establish which phone lasts longer: screen use, network conditions, software, and workload affect runtime, and no comparable endurance test is available here. Both official pages advertise 120W charging, using different branding—120W Ultra Charge for the GT 7T and 120W SUPERVOOC for the GT 6T. Check the exact regional package before assuming an adapter is included or that charging performance is identical across versions.

Display: compare the figures cautiously
The GT 6T global specification page gives a 6.78-inch display with 2780×1264 resolution and refresh rates up to 120Hz. It also separates brightness into typical, high-brightness-mode, and APL figures. realme markets the GT 7T with a 6000-nit Pro-Esports Display. These are manufacturer specifications presented with different measurement contexts; they should not be read as directly comparable brightness test results.
Cameras, memory, and regional specifications
GT 6T
The GT 6T global specifications list a 50MP Sony LYT-600 main camera with optical image stabilisation, an 8MP ultrawide camera, and a 32MP selfie camera. That global page lists up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage, while the India product page advertises configurations up to 12GB+512GB. The two pages therefore should not be silently combined into one universal variant description. The global page also lists Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, and NFC.

- 161.8 x 76.9 x 8.2 mm (6.37 x 3.03 x 0.32 in)
GT 7T
The GT 7T India page identifies an IMX896 camera and LPDDR5X memory with UFS 4.0 storage, but the cited page excerpt does not establish the full camera system or complete India memory-and-storage lineup. Confirm the exact SKU’s complete specification sheet before comparing camera modules or variants.
Box contents and protection
The GT 6T India product page’s box list includes a protective case and screen protect film. The available GT 7T page excerpt does not establish its complete box contents, so verify the package for the specific model and region rather than assuming the same accessories.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Which one makes more sense?
- Consider the GT 6T if its lower reported launch price is the useful reference point and its listed Snapdragon platform and 5500mAh typical battery meet your needs. Compare today’s price for the exact storage tier before deciding.
- Consider the GT 7T if its larger stated battery and newer listed chipset are worth considering at the price currently offered to you. The specification difference alone does not prove longer real-world battery life or higher sustained performance.
For a fair purchase comparison, match RAM and storage, confirm the India SKU, and check current price, seller warranty, and return terms. The launch figures above should not be used as current offers.
