The Realme C33 is a 2022 entry-level 4G phone with a 5,000mAh battery, expandable storage and a 50MP main camera. In 2026, it is best considered only as a very low-cost basic or backup phone: its 10W Micro-USB charging, modest performance, HD+ 60Hz screen and aging software platform are hard to overlook. Check the exact model, battery condition, warranty and carrier compatibility before buying, especially if it is imported or used.
What the Realme C33 is
Realme announced the original C33 in India on September 6, 2022, with its first sale scheduled for September 12. The launch configurations were 3GB RAM with 32GB storage for ₹8,999 and 4GB RAM with 64GB storage for ₹9,999. Those are original India launch prices, not current recommendations. Realme positioned it as an affordable 4G smartphone with a Unisoc T612 processor, 6.5-inch display, 5,000mAh battery and 50MP main camera. Realme’s launch announcement has the original pricing and sale details.
The name can also refer to the separate Realme C33 2023. Realme’s security listing identifies the original as RMX3624 and the 2023 model as RMX3627; do not assume specifications or case fit are interchangeable. Check Settings → About device on the phone and compare the model number with the seller’s listing. Realme’s security advisory list names the model families separately.

Specifications vary by market. Realme’s MEA specification page lists regional storage and LTE details; its Indian product page describes the camera and marketing features. Gadgets 360 reports a 60Hz display refresh rate. The 120Hz figure in Realme’s specifications is the touch-sampling rate, not a 120Hz screen.

Price and availability in 2026
Availability is inconsistent, and a marketplace listing is not proof of broad official stock. As of July 18, 2026, Gadgets 360 listed the C33 at ₹6,999 in India but marked it currently unavailable. Flipkart pages showed third-party listings for the 3GB/32GB version around ₹8,099–₹8,549. These are India-specific seller signals, not a universal current price or evidence of official availability. See the Gadgets 360 listing and Flipkart product page for their respective listings.
There is no basis here for quoting a current US retail price or recommending an imported unit for a US carrier. If a newer entry-level phone with USB-C and a more current software platform costs only modestly more in your market, compare that option before committing to old stock.
Display and design
The 6.5-inch LCD offers a large viewing area for basic reading and video, but its 720 × 1600 resolution is less crisp than Full HD displays. Text and small interface details will look softer. The screen is reported as 60Hz, so scrolling is not the high-refresh experience some buyers may infer from the separate 120Hz touch-sampling specification.

Realme describes a “Boundless Sea” rear design, a flat-edged bezel, and a back made with PC and PMMA materials. At approximately 8.3mm thick and 187g, it is relatively slim for a phone with this battery capacity. A glossy or patterned rear can show marks, so a case is sensible, but confirm that the case is made for the exact C33 variant. The cited official specifications do not provide an IP water-resistance rating.
Performance, memory and storage
The Unisoc T612 is an entry-level 4G processor suited to calls, messaging, light browsing, navigation and video streaming. Expect limits when several apps are open, when launching or installing large apps, and with demanding games. Simple games are a more appropriate fit; modern, graphics-heavy titles should not be a reason to buy this phone.
Realme advertises an AnTuTu result of up to 221,253. That is a manufacturer-reported lab figure, not a guaranteed result on every unit; benchmarks depend on software, test version, temperature, battery state and configuration. It should not be read as proof of strong gaming or multitasking performance. Realme’s product page contains the claim.

If prices are close, prefer 4GB RAM over 3GB and at least 64GB internal storage over 32GB. The operating system and preinstalled apps occupy part of advertised capacity, and a nearly full 32GB phone can become harder to manage. The dedicated microSD slot is useful for photos, music, documents and offline video, but a card does not make internal storage faster or remove RAM and processor limits. Move media to the card, remove unused apps and downloads, and avoid low-quality cards.
Cameras
The rear system centers on a 50MP camera, with features including HDR, portrait, night, panorama, timelapse and expert modes. Realme also promotes CHDR processing for backlit scenes. A high megapixel count does not establish sensor quality, dynamic range, autofocus performance or low-light results; treat daylight snapshots as the likely basic use, not as evidence of flagship-level imaging. The additional low-resolution sensor mentioned by some listings is not an ultra-wide or telephoto camera.

The front camera is 5MP and supports basic beauty, filter and HDR functions, making it a straightforward option for video calls and casual selfies. Rear video is specified up to 1080p at 30fps. Realme’s regional specifications give the camera and video limits.

Battery life and charging
The 5,000mAh typical battery capacity is one of the C33’s clearest strengths. Realme claims up to 37 days of standby under its stated test scenario, and says Ultra Saving Mode can provide up to 1.8 hours of calling at 5% charge. These are manufacturer claims, not ordinary-use runtime promises. In a third-party PCMark battery test, 91mobiles reported approximately 14.6 hours; it also reported about 2.8 hours to charge from 20% to 100%. Those results apply to that outlet’s test conditions, not every user or battery. Realme’s launch announcement gives its claims, and 91mobiles’ test page reports its measurements.
Charging is limited to 10W through a Micro-USB port, so this is not a fast-charging phone by 2026 standards. Micro-USB cables can also be less convenient to replace than USB-C cables. Slow charging alone may be normal for this model. If charging seems unusually slow, try a known-good compatible cable and adapter, inspect the port and avoid charging in high temperatures; Realme’s support guidance recommends checking the original cable and adapter and charging temperature.
For a used or old-stock phone, the battery’s present condition matters more than its original capacity rating. Check charging behavior, unusual heat, unexpected shutdowns and battery swelling; a 2022 device may have aged even if it has seen little use.

Software and security updates
Most official regional C33 pages describe Android 12 with realme UI S Edition, but a Russian regional page lists Android 11 and realme UI R Edition. The available information does not establish why those pages differ, so verify the exact handset’s software rather than assuming every regional unit ships with the same version. Do not assume an Android 13, 14 or 15 upgrade without checking that model’s firmware.
Realme’s security advisory page lists the original C33, model RMX3624, in a category receiving security updates no later than every quarter. It does not give a clear final support date for that model. For a 2026 buyer, the Android 12-era platform and entry-level hardware make the phone a weak choice for anyone seeking several years of current Android versions or long-term app compatibility.
To check an individual device, open Settings → Software update and install any available update. Confirm the model at Settings → About device before relying on generic support or retail information.
Network compatibility for imported phones
The official MEA specification lists FDD-LTE bands 1, 3, 5 and 8, and TD-LTE bands 38, 40 and 41. It also lists WCDMA bands 1, 5 and 8, and GSM 850/900/1800/1900. Realme cautions that 4G compatibility depends on the local operator environment. Band support alone does not establish that a phone will work fully on a particular carrier.
- Confirm the exact model number and supported LTE bands against the carrier’s requirements.
- Ask the carrier or seller to verify VoLTE support; do not assume calls will work because data bands match.
- Confirm the phone is unlocked and check whether relevant 2G or 3G networks still operate locally.
- Check regional warranty coverage and firmware before buying an import.
For buyers in the United States, treat an import as a compatibility-risk purchase unless the seller identifies the exact model and the carrier confirms support. The cited material does not establish a current official US retail channel.
Original Realme C33 versus C33 2023
Retail pages can mix the two names. Realme identifies RMX3624 as the original C33 and RMX3627 as C33 2023. A Flipkart listing for the 2023 model shows a 4GB/128GB configuration, while the original Indian launch configurations were 3GB/32GB and 4GB/64GB. The MEA page also lists 128GB for the original regional lineup, so storage alone does not reliably identify a handset. Check model number, regional specifications and software. The marketplace listing for the C33 2023 4GB/128GB is a listing for that separate retail variant, not a universal specification reference.
Quick Recap
Should you buy the Realme C33?
It may make sense if
- You need a very inexpensive phone for calls, messaging, light apps or use as a backup.
- Battery capacity, two SIM slots and microSD expansion matter more than speed or charging convenience.
- The phone’s battery, screen and Micro-USB port are in good condition, and its LTE and VoLTE compatibility are confirmed.
- You can get the 4GB RAM configuration at a reasonable price and accept an older software platform.
Choose something newer if
- You need 5G, USB-C, fast charging, NFC, stereo speakers or a high-refresh-rate display.
- You play demanding games, multitask heavily or use large apps that strain limited memory and storage.
- You expect several years of current operating-system updates or need a clear long-term support commitment.
- The seller will not identify the model, warranty, storage configuration or return terms, or the price approaches that of a newer entry-level phone.
Checks before accepting a used or old-stock unit
- Open Settings → About device and confirm the model number, RAM and storage against the listing.
- Check for screen damage, test the fingerprint reader and cameras, and connect to Wi-Fi and mobile service.
- Test charging with a known-good Micro-USB cable and compatible adapter; check for loose connection, excessive heat or unexpected shutdowns.
- Confirm the seller’s return rights, warranty coverage and local LTE/VoLTE compatibility before the return window closes.
