The POCO specifications below come from comparison publishers; realme’s specifications are also available on its official India page.
Price difference: compare the same RAM and storage first
Two comparison pages show the same headline prices: ₹35,499 for the realme 16 and ₹35,999 for the POCO X8 Power 5G, a ₹500 difference. These are page snapshots, not guaranteed current prices. Gadgets Now also shows a separate ₹38,999 listing for a 256GB/8GB realme 16, illustrating why a headline comparison may not match a specific variant or seller offer. The POCO’s listed display is 0.26 inches larger diagonally and has a higher listed resolution; both phones are listed at 120Hz. That gives the POCO the paper advantage for people who prefer a larger viewing area, while the realme’s smaller panel may suit someone who prioritizes a more compact screen. These are specification comparisons, not assessments of brightness, color accuracy or outdoor visibility.

Battery capacity is not a runtime test
Comparison pages list 10,000mAh for the POCO and 7,000mAh for the realme. That is a substantial capacity difference on paper, but capacity alone cannot establish how long either phone lasts in everyday use. No equivalent controlled head-to-head battery test was verified, so choose based on the listed capacity only if that is useful to you—not as a promise of a particular runtime.
Camera differences: selfie resolution and rear-camera type
Both phones are listed with a 50MP main rear camera. The POCO is also listed with an 8MP ultrawide camera, while the realme has a 2MP monochrome/secondary camera in comparison listings. For selfies, listings give the realme a 50MP front camera against 32MP on the POCO. Megapixel counts and camera labels do not establish image quality; confirm exact sensor details and look for samples from the specific regional models if camera performance is decisive.

Charging and other details to verify
Gadgets Now lists 60W charging for realme and 100W for POCO, and gives a 47-minute full-charge claim for the POCO. The charge-time figure is a publisher listing, not an independently verified test, and its conditions and included-adapter status are not established here. Check official regional product information and the box contents before treating charging speed or charger inclusion as a buying advantage.
The comparison listings name the realme processor as MediaTek Dimensity 6400 Turbo and the POCO as Snapdragon 6 Gen 5; the latter was not confirmed against an official POCO source. Do not infer which is faster from those names alone. Reliable official software-support policy details are not established in the cited material, so confirm update commitments directly before purchase if support lifespan matters.

Which one should you buy?
- Choose the POCO on paper if you want the larger, higher-resolution listed display, higher listed battery capacity, or an ultrawide camera in the reported rear-camera setup—and its exact variant price works for you.
- Choose the realme on paper if the higher listed front-camera resolution, smaller display, or its exact current variant price better matches your priorities.
- Pause and verify if your decision depends on POCO specifications, tested endurance, camera quality, charging time, included charger or software-support duration; the cited listings do not settle those questions through official documentation or equivalent testing.
