Crashes, No Sound, or Screen Glitches?

Nothing Phone (4b) has the larger screen, a rear camera set that includes an ultrawide lens, and the more clearly documented software support promise. The price gap is small and changes direction depending on which Nothing price you use, so neither phone wins outright. The right choice depends on which trade-off you would notice in daily use and which market you are buying in.
Specifications side by side
Unless noted, the figures below come from a 91mobiles comparison page accessed on 4 October 2026. Nothing’s software promises come from its July 2026 launch announcement. realme’s own regional product page was not available to confirm its figures, so the realme update durations are the comparison page’s claims.

What the differences actually mean
Battery and charging
realme 16 has the stronger battery and charging figures on paper: 7,000 mAh with a 60 W charger rating, against 6,000 mAh and 33 W for Nothing Phone (4b). These are capacity and charger ratings, not measured battery life. Endurance depends on screen use, network conditions and software behaviour, and the available sources contain no battery-life test for either phone.

Display
Nothing’s screen is 0.2 inches larger (6.77 inches against 6.57). Both are listed at 120 Hz and as FHD+ class panels, so the practical differences are size and the panel type the listings name: Flexible AMOLED for realme 16, Super AMOLED for Nothing Phone (4b). Brightness and colour accuracy were not measured in the sources, so panel type alone does not show which screen looks better.

Cameras
Both phones list a 50 MP main camera. The difference is the second rear lens: realme 16 pairs its main camera with a 2 MP monochrome lens, while Nothing Phone (4b) adds an 8 MP ultrawide that gives a wider field of view. On the front, realme’s 50 MP selfie camera has the higher listed resolution than Nothing’s 16 MP. Megapixel counts do not determine photo quality, which also depends on sensor size, lens quality and image processing. The sources include no sample images or camera tests, so neither phone’s photos can be ranked from this information.
Chipset and performance
The phones use different platforms: MediaTek’s Dimensity 6400 Turbo in realme 16 and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 in Nothing Phone (4b). A peak clock speed does not reliably indicate real-world speed. The only benchmark in the available sources is an AnTuTu score of 611,679 for realme 16. No score for Nothing Phone (4b) is given, so the figure cannot be compared and says nothing about which phone is faster.

Software support
Nothing’s launch announcement promises three years of Android updates and six years of security patches. realme’s comparison page lists three years of OS updates and four years of security updates, but these could not be confirmed against realme’s regional product page. If support length matters to you, Nothing has the clearer documented commitment.
Price difference: why the numbers don’t line up
The two phones’ prices come from different kinds of sources. The realme figure is a third-party snapshot of an Amazon listing, while Nothing’s figures are launch prices, and its lower India price applies only with conditions.

India: the gap depends on which Nothing price you use
- Against Nothing’s ₹34,999 MRP for the 8 GB + 128 GB model, realme 16’s ₹32,499 Amazon snapshot is ₹2,500 lower.
- Against Nothing’s ₹29,999 effective price for the same model, the realme snapshot is ₹2,500 higher.
- The ₹5,000 difference between Nothing’s MRP and effective price combines the 7.5% instant bank discount and the exchange offer. The announcement does not split the total between the two, and exchange value depends on the condition and eligibility of your old phone.
- For the 8 GB + 256 GB model, Nothing’s MRP is ₹38,999 and its effective price is ₹33,699. No realme 256 GB price appears in the sources.
Other markets
Outside India, the sources give Nothing Phone (4b) prices only. No realme 16 price for the UK, euro-zone or Malaysia appears in the available material, so a cross-market comparison is not possible. Currency, taxes, promotions and regional stock all differ between these listings.
Launch availability and timing
- India: the launch sale began on Flipkart on 14 July 2026, with Croma, Reliance Digital and Vijay Sales following from 17 July.
- Global: an open sale started on 17 July 2026 in black, white and blue.
- Stock: on 4 October 2026 the comparison page showed Nothing Phone (4b) as unavailable in stores. That is a single reading and may have changed.
Which trade-offs justify the gap
The price gap is small enough that it should not decide the purchase alone. Choose by the trade-off you would actually notice.

- Battery and fast charging: realme 16 has the stronger listed specifications. Check independent battery-life tests before paying for capacity alone.
- Larger screen or an ultrawide camera: Nothing Phone (4b) is the only one of the two that lists these.
- Longest documented security updates: Nothing’s six years is the longest documented term here. realme’s four years rests on its comparison page.
- Price at checkout: if you qualify for Nothing’s bank and exchange offer, its effective price falls below the realme snapshot. Without those offers, realme is the cheaper option in India.
- Photo quality or raw speed: the available information does not decide either. Compare sample photos and benchmarks from reviewers you trust before buying.
Before you buy
- Confirm the RAM and storage combination on the seller’s page. Nothing’s comparison listing and its launch pricing use different RAM options.
- Check the live price and stock on the day you buy. The realme figure is a snapshot from 4 October 2026.
- Read the bank and exchange offer terms if you plan to rely on Nothing’s effective price.
- Confirm the market you are buying in, since Indian, UK, euro-zone and Malaysian prices use different currencies, taxes and promotions.
- For realme 16, look for the update promises on realme’s own regional site before relying on the four-year security figure.
