There is no reliable universal price difference: the available realme specifications are for India, while the current Nothing price evidence is from its US storefront.

These are published product specifications, not results from a head-to-head test. The Snapdragon model name is the same in the cited sources, but that does not establish equal sustained performance. Likewise, display figures do not establish which screen is brighter or more accurate in measured use. Sources: realme India specifications, Android Central launch coverage, and TechRadar review.

How their cameras differ
realme: higher-resolution main camera on paper
The realme 16 Pro+ lists a 200 MP main camera with optical image stabilization, alongside a stabilized 50 MP telephoto camera and an 8 MP ultra-wide camera. Its front camera is listed at 50 MP. The higher main-camera pixel count is a hardware distinction, not proof of sharper or better-looking photos.

The Phone (4a) Pro has a 50 MP main camera, an 8 MP ultra-wide, and a 50 MP periscope telephoto camera. Android Central’s March 2026 launch report describes the telephoto camera as offering 3.5× optical zoom. TechRadar lists a 32 MP front camera. The available sources do not provide a directly comparable camera test, so they cannot establish which phone takes better pictures across lighting and zoom conditions.

Battery capacity and charging
realme lists a typical 7000 mAh battery and charging up to 80 W. TechRadar lists the Nothing phone at 5080 mAh with 50 W wired charging and no wireless charging. Those figures give realme the paper advantage in capacity and maximum charging wattage; they are not measurements of comparative battery life or charge time. Actual endurance and charging behavior depend on usage and test conditions.
Software, design, and support
realme’s India specifications page lists realme UI 7.0. The Nothing phone is described as running Nothing OS 4.1 based on Android 16; Android Central’s launch coverage reported three major Android updates and up to six years of security updates. Support policies can change and may vary by market, so check Nothing’s current regional policy before choosing based on long-term update coverage.

- The larger 6.9-inch display enhances productivity and media consumption, giving extra room for multitasking, side-by-side apps, and immersive viewing without feeling unwieldy in hand.
- Camera improvements focus on ultra-wide performance, capturing more detail at the edges of the frame and reducing distortion, making landscape shots, group photos, and architecture photography cleaner.
- Refined gesture controls and haptic feedback make interactions feel more precise, so scrolling, tapping, or switching between apps is smoother and more satisfying compared to previous Plus models.
- Audio enhancements optimize speaker output for spatial awareness, delivering clearer separation between instruments and voices in music, video playback, and FaceTime calls without relying on headphones.
- Durable yet lightweight materials balance heft and portability, with a subtly textured back and reinforced edges that improve grip while maintaining the premium appearance expected from the Plus series.
Nothing also emphasizes its Glyph Matrix, a distinctive rear-facing interface feature. That, together with Nothing OS, may matter more to buyers who prefer Nothing’s design approach than a difference in specification-sheet numbers. The available materials do not establish a like-for-like assessment of build quality or day-to-day software performance.

The price evidence is not a fair same-market comparison. Nothing’s US product page currently lists the Phone (4a) Pro in 8 GB/128 GB and displays $419 alongside $499. This is a live storefront observation, not a stable global price. TechRadar’s March 2026 review reported launch list prices of $499 / £499 / AU$949 for 8 GB/128 GB and $599 / £549 / AU$949 for 12 GB/256 GB; those are launch-era figures, not current quotes.

The cited realme page is an India specification listing and does not provide a comparable current price. As a result, the available evidence does not support a precise price gap in dollars, pounds, rupees, or percentage terms. Which one should you choose?
- Consider the realme 16 Pro+ if the listed 7000 mAh typical battery and up-to-80 W charging are higher priorities, or you want its particular mix of a 200 MP main camera and stabilized 50 MP telephoto hardware.
- Consider the Nothing Phone (4a) Pro if you prefer Nothing OS and the Glyph Matrix, or value a periscope camera with reported 3.5× optical zoom.
- Do not decide on megapixels or the processor name alone. The specifications do not determine photo quality, measured battery life, or sustained performance.
- Compare local prices before buying. The available US Nothing price and India realme specification page do not establish which phone is cheaper in your market.
