For buyers using the reported India launch prices, the Motorola Edge 60 Pro is the stronger value on paper: it started at ₹29,999, compared with ₹31,999 for the realme 16 Pro’s 8GB/128GB variant. Motorola also lists a higher-tier chipset, a dedicated 3x optical telephoto camera and wireless charging. The realme is a better fit if you prefer a flat 144Hz display and, in India, its advertised 7,000mAh battery and 80W charging. These are conditional picks: compare current local prices and the exact regional variants before buying.

Which phone is cheaper, and is it a fair comparison?
91mobiles reports India launch prices of ₹29,999 for the Edge 60 Pro and ₹31,999 for the realme 16 Pro’s 8GB/128GB variant. That makes Motorola ₹2,000 lower in that comparison, but these are reported launch prices—not verified current offers. The comparison describes Motorola’s base configuration as 256GB, so the quoted starting prices are not a like-for-like storage comparison. Check the live price and RAM/storage variant available in your market before deciding which is cheaper or better value. 91mobiles’ comparison

Performance: Motorola has the stronger listed processor
The realme’s official regional specification pages list the Dimensity 7300 Max, while Motorola’s US support specifications list the Dimensity 8350 Extreme. That favors Motorola on listed processor tier, but no independently sourced, controlled benchmark or gaming test is established here. Treat this as a hardware-specification comparison, not proof of a particular speed, gaming frame rate or sustained-performance result. realme Europe specifications · Motorola US specifications

Camera: optical zoom or a high-resolution main sensor?
The realme 16 Pro’s India marketing highlights a 200MP main camera. The Edge 60 Pro instead offers a three-camera setup in Motorola’s listed specifications: a 50MP main camera with optical image stabilization, a 50MP ultrawide and a 10MP 3x optical telephoto camera with OIS. That dedicated telephoto lens gives Motorola a distinct hardware option for zoom framing; the realme’s headline megapixel count does not, by itself, prove better photos. The available specifications do not establish a controlled image-quality winner. realme India product page · Motorola specifications

Battery and charging: check the realme’s region-specific variant
Realme’s India product page advertises a 7,000mAh battery and 80W charging, while its Europe specification page lists a 6,500mAh typical battery and 45W charging. Do not assume the India figures apply to a phone sold elsewhere. Motorola lists a 6,000mAh battery, 90W wired charging and 15W wireless charging. These are capacity and charging specifications, not independently measured battery life or charging-time results. realme India specifications · realme Europe specifications · Motorola specifications
Display: flat 144Hz versus curved 120Hz
91mobiles describes the India realme 16 Pro as having a flat 6.78-inch AMOLED screen with a 144Hz refresh rate. Motorola lists a curved 6.7-inch pOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and HDR10+. A flat screen may suit buyers who prefer that shape in hand, while others may prefer the curved edges; neither shape is an objective upgrade for everyone. The listed refresh rates differ, but they do not establish differences in readability, brightness or overall display quality under controlled conditions. Durability and software: verify the exact model you are buying
Realme’s India page advertises IP69, and 91mobiles reports multiple IP ratings for the phone. Motorola lists IP68/IP69 and MIL-STD-810H certification. The ratings and certification are not guarantees against damage, and regional SKU or warranty coverage may matter if a device needs service. realme India product page · Motorola specifications · 91mobiles comparison

Software descriptions also depend on region and timing. 91mobiles reports Android 16 with realme UI 7.0 for its India realme comparison, while Motorola’s US support page lists Android 16 and the comparison describes the Edge 60 Pro’s launch software as Android 15. Both are reported with three OS upgrades and four years of security patches in the comparison, but that does not establish identical update timing. Which one should you buy?
Choose the Motorola Edge 60 Pro if
- Its current price is lower for the configuration you want.
- You want a dedicated 3x optical telephoto camera or wireless charging.
- You value its stronger listed chipset over the realme’s display shape or regional battery package.
Choose the realme 16 Pro if
- You prefer a flat, higher-refresh-rate display.
- The local variant you can buy has the battery capacity and charging combination you want.
- You are drawn to its high-resolution main-camera specification and do not need a dedicated telephoto camera.
Before paying, compare current local prices for the same RAM and storage, then confirm the regional battery and charging specification, software build, warranty and service terms. The reported price gap is launch context, not a guarantee of today’s value.
