The realme 13 Pro+ is easiest to recommend to someone who values portrait and telephoto photography: its 50MP periscope camera is the phone’s clearest point of distinction. It also offers a 120Hz OLED display, a large battery, and fast charging. The trade-off is middling performance for demanding users, a weaker ultra-wide camera, and software clutter. It is a better fit for camera-focused use than for gaming or sustained high-end workloads.
What makes the realme 13 Pro+ stand out?
Its rear camera system includes a 50MP main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), a 50MP periscope telephoto camera with OIS and a 73mm-equivalent focal length, and an 8MP ultra-wide camera. The periscope lens gives the phone a dedicated longer-reach option for portraits and distant subjects, rather than relying only on the main camera’s digital crop. The India specification page lists 4K video recording at 30fps for the rear cameras.

Reviewers found the main and periscope cameras capable of producing detailed, vibrant images. That does not mean every camera is equally strong: the 8MP ultra-wide was the weakest of the three in the reviews, with muted results. 91mobiles also noted that reds and greens could look slightly boosted and that some image processing took about 3–4 seconds. These are review observations, not guarantees that every shot or unit will behave identically.
Camera strengths and compromises
- Main and periscope: the strongest reason to consider the phone, particularly for portrait and telephoto photos.
- Ultra-wide: useful for fitting more into a frame, but reviewers judged its image quality below the other rear cameras.
- Front camera: the India specification page lists a 32MP front camera.
How good is its performance?
The India model uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 2. 91mobiles judged it adequate for casual use and camera-focused buyers, but behind the OnePlus Nord 4 and POCO F6 for power users. Its review unit ran several demanding games, yet BGMI ran at 40 FPS rather than 60 FPS in Ultra HDR settings. That makes the phone less appealing if high frame rates or sustained demanding workloads are a priority.

- Luxury Watch Inspired Design: Ollivier Savéo follows the tradition of 18th century watchmaking, integrating design into daily life through meticulous carving, polishing, and grinding, creating an imaginative design with rich experience in high-end Swiss watch brand design
Those results come from a 2024 review, not a current comparative test of every available configuration or software version. Treat them as useful evidence of the chip’s class and the reviewers’ experience, not as a promise of a particular frame rate in every game update.
What are the display, battery, and charging like?
For India, realme lists a 6.7-inch OLED display with 2412 × 1080 resolution and a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. Gadgets 360 described the display as good, while 91mobiles praised its vibrant appearance. The phone’s listed battery capacity is 5,200mAh (typical), and its charging specification is 80W SUPERVOOC.

Battery life was a strength in the reviews, but their measurements used different tests and should not be treated as interchangeable guarantees. In 91mobiles’ 2024 PCMark test, the phone ran for 11 hours and 34 minutes from 100% down to 20%. In the same publication’s 30-minute YouTube test at 50% brightness and volume, it used 5% battery. 91mobiles measured a 38-minute charge from 20% to 100%; Gadgets 360 reported a separate empty-to-full time of under 1 hour 10 minutes. Results in everyday use depend on settings, signal, apps, and workload.

The India specification page identifies Android 14-based realme UI 5.0. 91mobiles counted 55 pre-installed apps on its review unit, including seven third-party apps, so expect some app cleanup if you prefer a minimal setup. The same review’s 2024 comparison table listed two major OS updates and three years of security updates. Because that policy information is dated, check the current regional support commitment before buying rather than assuming the review-era period remains the latest policy.

Gadgets 360 praised the premium appearance but reported that the frame is plastic. It also listed the lack of an infrared blaster as a drawback. The overall design impression can feel more premium than that frame material suggests, but buyers who specifically want an IR remote feature will not find it listed in the India specifications.

- Consider it if: portrait and telephoto photography matter more than top-tier processing power, and you also want an OLED screen and fast charging.
- Look elsewhere if: gaming performance, the strongest ultra-wide camera, minimal pre-installed software, or a clearly verified long update commitment is central to your choice.
- Check before paying: the live price, storage configuration, stock, regional specifications, software-support policy, and package contents in your country.
The India product page lists configurations up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. Its stated India package includes an 80W adapter, a protective case, and screen-protect film; included items may differ by market. The listed India wireless specifications include Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2, and explicitly say NFC is absent. Confirm regional specifications rather than applying those India details globally; supported bands and real-world network use also depend on the operator.

Is it worth buying at its current price?
The 2024 reviews reported India launch- or review-era prices from ₹32,999, with 91mobiles noting offers down to ₹29,999 and Gadgets 360 listing the 8GB/256GB variant at ₹32,999. Those are historical figures, not current offers. Since price, stock, and competing phones vary by market and date, judge the phone against what it costs where you plan to buy it: its camera appeal is strongest when the price is competitive with alternatives, and weaker performance is harder to overlook if it costs as much as a more powerful option.

Gadgets 360’s review, by Siddharth Suvarna, highlighted the main and telephoto cameras, battery life, display, premium design, and AI features, while flagging bloatware and the ultra-wide camera. Ashish Kumar gave it 7.5/10 at 91mobiles and emphasized the performance and update-period compromises. Both reviews are from 2024, so their hands-on findings remain useful context, but neither establishes today’s best choice or current value in every market.
