9to5Toys reported on October 7, 2026, that Amazon was selling the black Razer Wolverine V3 Tournament Edition for $37.99 shipped, calling it a new low. That is a dated deal report, not confirmation that the price is still available: check the current listing for price, stock, delivery, and any purchase conditions before ordering.
What the deal report says—and what it doesn’t confirm
According to 9to5Toys’ October 7, 2026 report, Amazon’s price was $37.99 shipped. The report described that as a new low, compared with a $100 launch price and a recent Amazon price of around $75. Those comparisons come from the deal report; they are not a live price check or an independently verified price-history record.

For a separate retailer reference, Best Buy’s listing for the black controller (model RZ06-05210100-R3U1) showed $74.99 and a $99.99 comparable value when retrieved. That snapshot does not establish current stock or Amazon’s price. Check both retailers’ listings for current terms.

What kind of controller is the Wolverine V3 Tournament Edition?
The Wolverine V3 Tournament Edition is a wired controller officially licensed for Xbox. Razer lists compatibility with Xbox Series X|S and PC. It includes four remappable back buttons and two claw-grip bumpers—six remappable controls in total—along with Pro HyperTriggers, Hall Effect thumbsticks, and Mecha-Tactile buttons. These are manufacturer specifications, not a claim of independently measured performance.

- 4 MOUSE CLICK BACK BUTTONS & 2 CLAW GRIP BUMPERS — Enjoy the same ultra-responsive actuation found in Razer's top gaming mice with 4 buttons built into the controller’s ergonomic, rubberized handles—topped with 2 claw grip bumpers for even more control
- PRO HYPERTRIGGERS — Set the triggers for instant actuation with zero travel time or ultra precise analog control—be fully immersed in the action and feel every trigger pull with integrated haptic vibrations
- HALL EFFECT PRECISION THUMBSTICKS — Experience analog thumbsticks that are not only more accurate than traditional models but are smoother, lighter, and more durable thanks to their anti-friction rings and pro grade materials
- HYPERSPEED WIRELESS — Delivering an ultra-low latency 2.4 GHz connection via its USB Type A dongle, experience fast, reliable performance that meets the demands of the most intense competitive players on Xbox and PC
- RAZER MECHA-TACTILE ACTION BUTTONS & 8-WAY FLOATING D-PAD — By combining the speed of microswitches with the cushioned comfort of a rubber membrane, compete with quicker inputs that feel just as comfortable to press
Razer says the included cable is 10 feet long and confirms the controller does not support wireless connectivity. Its FAQ puts the Xbox polling rate at 250 Hz; the separate 1,000 Hz Tournament Mode is for PC, via the companion app or a controller shortcut. The PC figure should not be read as the Xbox polling rate. See Razer’s product page and FAQ for the manufacturer’s specifications.
9to5Toys also reports a detachable braided cable, rubberized grips, front-facing Razer-logo RGB lighting, and two interchangeable thumbstick caps. Those details are attributed to its report, not hands-on testing here.

How it differs from the V3 Pro and newer V4 models
The V3 Tournament Edition is the wired option; the Wolverine V3 Pro is a distinct wireless model. Razer’s comparison notes that the V3 Pro includes a carrying case, swappable thumbstick caps, and more advanced haptics. Consider whether wireless use and those extras matter more to you than the Tournament Edition’s wired setup and reported deal price.

The V4 models are another generation, not alternate names for this deal product. Windows Central reported that the Wolverine V4 Pro and V4 Tournament Edition went on sale in the US on October 6, 2026, at $199.99 and $99.99, respectively, and described capacitive thumbstick sensors in the V4 line. Those are reported launch prices; check current product pages and retailer listings before comparing value. See Windows Central’s V4 launch report.
