The Razer Basilisk V3 Pro is the better fit for a right-handed gaming setup that needs more programmable controls, a larger ergonomic shape and rechargeable power. The Razer Pro Click Mini makes more sense for quiet productivity, compact desks and switching among several devices. The deciding factors are hand fit, the work you do and whether you prefer charging or replaceable AA batteries.

Specifications and battery estimates are from Razer’s Basilisk V3 Pro product page and Razer Support’s Pro Click Mini specifications. Razer’s Mini listing gives its weight as “8g with 1x Alkaline AA battery” and “111g with 2x Alkaline AA batteries.” The first figure appears unusually low; confirm it against the current listing or product packaging rather than assuming a corrected value.

Which mouse is better for your setup?
Choose the Basilisk V3 Pro for gaming controls and a right-handed shape
The Basilisk has four more programmable buttons than the Mini and a larger, right-handed body. Its stated sensor ceiling is also higher. Those specifications make it the more natural candidate if you want extra controls for games or other workflows and prefer a fuller ergonomic mouse. Razer’s launch announcement described its 10+1 buttons as including a multi-function trigger that can be customized for actions, macros and other functions; that is the manufacturer’s description, not an independent performance test. See the Razer Basilisk V3 Pro launch announcement.
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
Choose the Pro Click Mini for quiet work and multiple devices
The Mini is smaller, ambidextrous and fitted with silent mechanical switches. Its multi-host feature supports switching among up to four devices, a practical advantage if one mouse serves several computers. It still has programmable buttons and a four-way tilt wheel, but its specifications and feature mix are oriented less toward a control-heavy gaming setup than the Basilisk’s.

Let hand fit decide between the shapes
The Basilisk is longer, wider and taller, while the Mini is compact and ambidextrous. Dimensions do not establish which will feel comfortable in a particular hand or grip. If possible, try the shape before buying; neither model can be called universally more comfortable from its specifications alone.
What the connection and power choices mean
Wireless options and wired fallback
Both mice offer wireless operation. The Basilisk also supports wired USB-C use. The Mini’s advertised multi-host support is the clearer differentiator when you regularly move between computers; the Basilisk’s listed connection choices do not establish an equivalent four-device switching feature.

Rechargeable versus AA batteries
The Basilisk is rechargeable, while the Mini takes one or two alkaline AA batteries. Razer lists up to 110 hours for the Basilisk on HyperSpeed at constant motion and 1,000 Hz, up to 150 hours on Bluetooth, and up to 32 hours with the separately sold HyperPolling Wireless Dongle and Mouse Dock Pro at constant motion and 8,000 Hz. For the Mini, Razer Support lists up to 725 hours on Bluetooth and up to 465 hours on 2.4 GHz. These are manufacturer-stated maximums in different connection modes, not results from a like-for-like test, so the largest hour figure is not a controlled comparison of endurance.
Optional Basilisk charging accessories
Razer lists the Basilisk V3 Pro as compatible with the Razer Mouse Dock Pro and Wireless Charging Puck; both are sold separately. The dock and puck are optional conveniences, and the HyperPolling Wireless Dongle is relevant if you want the listed 8,000 Hz configuration. None is required for ordinary mouse use.

How to interpret the price and model listings
Razer announced an original U.S. launch MSRP of $159.99 for the Basilisk V3 Pro, with launch on August 23, 2022, in its 2022 announcement. That is historical launch pricing, not a current price. A Razer U.S. shop listing surfaced in 2026 at $159.99 is for the newer Basilisk V3 Pro 35K, a distinct revision; its listing and specifications should not be attributed to the original Basilisk V3 Pro. A current, like-for-like price for the Pro Click Mini is not established here, so check current retailer listings for both exact model names before comparing cost.
