The harder option identified in the game listing is Extreme, not a mode explicitly named Hard Mode. Practice play, streak tracking, and result sharing can differ by Quordle site or version, so check the controls and stats on the page where you play.
How does Quordle work?
In Classic, each guess is a valid five-letter English word, and the same guess is evaluated against all four boards. Green marks a correct letter in the correct position; yellow means the letter is in that board’s answer but in another position; gray means it is absent from that answer. A letter can receive different colors on different boards. The rules guide at quordle.game describes this shared-guess format.

The game listing at dev.quordle.com, retrieved October 3, 2026, describes Classic as nine guesses for four words. Because the live page requires JavaScript, its exact rules and mode availability may change.
Does Quordle have an official hard mode?
It depends what you mean by “hard mode.” A third-party guide at quordle.uk says the version it describes has no mode literally named Hard Mode. It identifies Extreme as the named harder option. That is a report about the guide’s version, not proof that every Quordle implementation uses the same labels.
#1 Best Overall
If you mean a toggle that forces you to reuse every revealed clue, that guide does not describe such a named Quordle mode. You can choose to follow that rule yourself, but it is self-enforced. The listing at dev.quordle.com confirms the Extreme name, though not the guide’s claim about the absence of a Hard Mode toggle.
What is the difference between Quordle modes?
The listing retrieved October 3, 2026, gives specific guess counts and word-difficulty descriptions for three modes. It names Sequence, Rescue, and Weekly Challenge too, but the listing excerpt does not establish their precise mechanics.

Can I play Quordle unlimited times?
Some Quordle implementations offer on-demand or unlimited practice, but this is not a universal feature of every site. A page at quordle.uk describes an unlimited game that resets on reload and does not count toward that site’s daily streak or stats. Treat that as specific to the implementation described there; check the practice screen on your chosen site for its own reset and tracking behavior.

Tracking varies by version. A separate guide at quordle.uk describes a stats panel with games played, win rate, current streak, and best streak. That does not establish that every Quordle site records the same fields or counts practice games in the same way. If a streak matters to you, check the site’s stats panel before switching between daily and practice games.

Can I share my Quordle results?
Sharing controls depend on the game version. A custom-puzzle guide at quordle.uk describes a tool that creates a puzzle with a shareable link; it also says those custom games are separate from that site’s daily stats and streak. This does not establish what the official daily game includes in a shared result.
Use the result or share control displayed by the particular version you played. Do not assume a shared post contains your streak, grid, or score unless the site shows that information in its preview or copied result.
