Quanfluence plans to use a reported $10 million funding round to advance a photonic quantum-computing system, including a four-qubit computer in the near term and a prototype of around 100 qubits by 2029. Those are roadmap goals, not delivered systems: the financing and milestones were reported by The Economic Times on October 7, 2026, which attributed the targets to CEO Sujoy Chakravarty.
What the reported $10 million round would fund
The Economic Times reported that Bengaluru-based Quanfluence raised $10 million in a round led by Chiratae Ventures, with Rainmatter by Zerodha and existing investor pi Ventures also participating. The report says the capital is intended to support development and launch of the four-qubit computer and work toward the larger prototype. No company or investor announcement confirming this round was identified in the cited sources, so the amount and investor details should be understood as reported by the outlet.

Quanfluence previously announced a $2 million seed round on December 18, 2024, led by pi Ventures, with Golden Sparrow and Reena Dayal participating. The company said that financing would scale near-term products and accelerate quantum-computer development (Quanfluence’s seed-round announcement).
What Quanfluence is building
Quanfluence describes its system as a scalable, continuous-variable photonic quantum computer. Its stated full-stack approach combines photonic hardware, control systems and software rather than treating the processor as a standalone component. These are company descriptions, not independent verification of system performance. The company’s website also lists customer-focused photonic modules, including a high-speed balanced detector, single-photon detectors and a quantum random number generator.

OPTIQON and near-term optimization
Quanfluence separately presents OPTIQON as a hardware-accelerated optimization platform for large combinatorial problems. The distinction matters: an optimization platform and photonic Ising-machine work aimed at near-term problem-solving are not the same claim as having delivered a general-purpose quantum computer.
In a March 25, 2026 announcement, SuperQ Quantum said the companies signed an MOU to explore integrating Quanfluence’s quantum random number generator and quantum computing with SuperQ’s platform, alongside joint commercialization. That is an announced exploration framework, not evidence that integration or commercial deployment has been completed. Quanfluence CEO Sujoy Chakravarty described the company’s focus in the release: “At Quanfluence, we are building a full-stack photonic quantum computing platform, spanning hardware, control systems, and cloud-accessible optimization layers. Our near-term focus is on delivering real-world optimization capabilities using our photonic Ising machines, enabling enterprises to access quantum advantage today while we continue scaling toward universal quantum computing,” (SuperQ’s announcement).

How to read the qubit milestones
| Milestone | Status and attribution |
|---|---|
| Four-qubit quantum computer | Near-term plan reported by The Economic Times on October 7, 2026, attributed to CEO Sujoy Chakravarty; not a confirmed shipment. |
| Around 100-qubit prototype by 2029 | Target reported by The Economic Times on October 7, 2026, attributed to Chakravarty; a future milestone, not a demonstrated prototype. |
| General-purpose, fault-tolerant quantum computer | Long-term company vision described on Quanfluence’s about page, not a present product claim. |
Qubit count alone does not show what a system can reliably compute. The cited information does not establish error rates, system availability, benchmark results or a fair performance comparison with other quantum-computing approaches. It therefore supports describing Quanfluence’s architecture and ambitions, but not calling it faster or better than competitors.
