Set Turtle text formatting in the font argument to turtle.write(): use a three-item tuple in the form (font family, size, style). For example, font=("Arial", 16, "bold") writes bold 16-point Arial text. To find font families available on your computer, ask Tkinter for the families installed for the current Tk display; there is no single font list shared by every system.
Change the font, size, and style with turtle.write()
Pass the font as a tuple of three values: font family, font size, and font type. The Python 3.12 Turtle documentation gives the default as ('Arial', 8, 'normal').

import turtle
turtle.write("Hello, Turtle!", font=("Arial", 16, "bold"))
turtle.done()
Replace the tuple values to choose another family, size, or style:

The examples use the documented three-item interface. Tkinter supports additional font attributes such as underline and overstrike, but Turtle documents write()‘s font argument as a triple; do not assume you can pass every Tk font attribute directly through that tuple.

Choose alignment and whether the pen moves
Alignment and pen movement are separate write() arguments, not part of the font tuple. align accepts "left", "center", or "right". Set move=True if you want Turtle to move the pen to the bottom-right corner of the written text.
turtle.write(
"Centered title",
align="center",
font=("Arial", 18, "bold"),
move=False,

List the font families available to your Tk display
Font availability depends on the fonts installed and the current display environment. This standalone Tkinter example prints the family names available to that display:
Rank #2
import tkinter as tk
from tkinter import font
root = tk.Tk()
print(font.families(root))
root.destroy()
tkinter.font.families() returns the available family names; it does not provide a universal list that will match every computer. A family you see on one machine may not be available on another.

Understand font size and platform differences
In Tkinter, a positive font size is measured in points. A negative size is interpreted by its absolute value in pixels. For example, 16 requests 16 points, while -16 requests a size of 16 pixels. The Tkinter font documentation describes these size rules.
A requested family or style may not render exactly as specified on every platform. Tkinter’s actual() documentation notes that resolved attributes can differ because of platform limitations. Try the result on the computer where the Turtle program will run rather than treating the requested font tuple as a guarantee of identical appearance.
Check that your Python installation supports Turtle
Turtle uses Tkinter, so it requires a Python installation with Tk support. If importing Turtle fails because _tkinter is unavailable, the Python distribution or environment may need a provider-supported Tk solution; the Turtle documentation describes this requirement.
