Bumper Bout is a pinball game built around direct player-versus-player competition: two players share a playfield and can use its balls to attack each other. What makes Bumper Bout PvP pinball?
In traditional pinball, a player tries to keep a ball in play and score against the table. Bumper Bout puts an opponent on that same playfield. Rockalot described the game as players choosing a stage and characters before dueling “with the same balls on a shared playfield.” The ball is therefore not just something to keep from draining; it is also part of the competition between players.

According to the creator, each player protects five lives. Scoring points can let a player launch attacks, while saving points enables a character-specific super power. That creates a choice between spending points to pressure the opponent and holding them for a stronger ability. Can you play against someone locally?
Yes, local competition is part of the announced demo. Rockalot listed local two-player versus and solo play against a CPU. Steam’s listing also identifies shared-screen and split-screen PvP. The sources do not establish whether a particular controller is required, or how many controllers each player needs; Steam does tag the game for controller use.

For a local session, a PC controller may be a convenient option, but it is not documented as a requirement. Check the store page for the current control details before setting up a multiplayer session.

When is the full game coming out?
Steam lists 29 October 2026 as Bumper Bout’s planned release date and marks the full game as not yet available. A planned date is subject to change; check the listing for the latest status rather than treating that date as a guarantee.

What PC does it require?
Steam lists Windows 10 64-bit as the minimum operating system and integrated graphics as sufficient for the stated minimum. The listing’s controller tag indicates controller support, but it does not specify that a controller is necessary for play.
