To let other people use your downloaded PS5 games on one console, enable Console Sharing and Offline Play—you do not need to give them your PlayStation sign-in details. Sony allows this feature on one PS5 at a time and warns that sharing account credentials puts your account at risk and breaches its Terms of Service.
What PS5 Console Sharing does
Console Sharing and Offline Play makes eligible games and media purchased and downloaded by your account available to anyone who uses the enabled PS5. Those users can play the available content even when the console is offline, and can use selected PlayStation Plus benefits. It shares access on that console; it does not transfer ownership of games or purchases to another user’s account.

Sony’s guide describes this as access for “anyone who uses your PS5 console.” It is suited to a shared household console, not a way to give someone elsewhere access by handing over your login. PlayStation Support explains what the feature shares and how it works.

Sony says, “Sharing your account details compromises the security of your account,” and warns that someone who signs in may change the sign-in information and lock you out. Its guidance is to keep account information private. Read PlayStation Support’s account-security guidance. How to enable Console Sharing on a PS5
- Sign in on the PS5 with the account that owns the games or subscription benefits.
- Open Settings > Users and Accounts > Other > Console Sharing and Offline Play.
- Select Enable. Select Disable there if you need to turn it off.
Sony says the first PS5 used to sign in has Console Sharing and Offline Play allowed automatically. To use the feature on a different PS5, disable it on the previous one first. The setting can be enabled on only one PS5 at a time; this is a rule for this feature and does not change Sony’s other console activation limits.
What PlayStation Plus benefits are shared?
Some PlayStation Plus benefits can be shared with other users on a primary PS4 and one PS5 with Console Sharing and Offline Play enabled. Not every benefit is shared, and the available entitlements can depend on the benefit and subscription tier. How to move sharing to another PS5
If you can access the currently enabled console, disable Console Sharing and Offline Play on it, then enable the feature on the other PS5 using the account that owns the content.

If you cannot access the old console, Sony offers remote deactivation of all devices through Account Management. Sony limits this remote action to once every six months. Because it deactivates all devices, use it with that scope in mind rather than treating it as a control for just one PS5. After deactivation, enable Console Sharing and Offline Play on the PS5 you want to use.

Fixes if shared games or benefits are unavailable
- Confirm ownership and availability: The account must have purchased the game or media, or the relevant item must still be available through the subscription. Content not purchased by the owner, or no longer available through a subscription, may not be playable.
- Check the subscription: Make sure the account’s PlayStation Plus subscription is active if access depends on it.
- Check the enabled console: Confirm the feature is enabled on this PS5 and not another one.
- Address service or connection problems: Check PlayStation service status, update the PS5 system software, restart the router and console, then try again. License or network issues can also prevent access.

Share Play is for playing together remotely or passing control of a game to another player. It is not the Console Sharing setting that makes downloaded purchases available to other local users of a PS5.
