Recent third-party guides map the named Nichirin weapons to specific bosses, with reported 5% drops for six katanas; the Sound Katana rate and Stone Trainee weapon rate are less certain. To forge a weapon to V2, the reported route is to reach level 65, unlock Togane’s forge quest, then gather materials in Ouwigahara Dungeon. These details come from community guides and wikis, not an official developer drop table, and may change with updates.
All Nichirin weapon drops and reported chances
The September 21, 2026 Nerd’s Chalk guide lists the following boss drops. A separate community wiki reports a 5% chance for the Sound Katana as well, but Nerd’s Chalk leaves that rate blank. Treat reported odds as guide information, not guaranteed or officially confirmed drop rates.

The Stone Trainee rate is especially unsettled: Slayers 2 Guide reports that the chance was 7% at launch and rose to 15% in version 0.98, while the community wiki lists 1%. The later versioned figure is 15%, but no official drop table confirms it or resolves the disagreement. Check current in-game information if available.

Efficient routes to the bosses
Northern route from Beginner Village
- Start at Beginner Village and go north through the Wilderness to Saneri.
- Continue north to Shinora, then follow the route toward Forgotten Ruins to reach Rengu.
Western route through Bamboo Grove
- Return toward the western approach and pass through the torii gate into Bamboo Grove to find Obari.
- After the Obari encounter, continue to the hidden pit where Zentaro is reported to spawn.
Separate trips from Hidden Mist Village
- Giyen: Travel east from Hidden Mist Village Shrine toward Mistfall Harbor.
- Stone Trainee: Travel west from Hidden Mist Village Shrine to Stone Sanctuary.
Frozen Valley trip
Fast travel to Frost Veil Shrine and follow the route to Tengai. Bring the Ember Heart Lantern, which the route guide identifies as necessary for the snowy area.

Starting swords if you are not farming boss drops yet
These are early alternatives, not the named boss Nichirin drops. The route guide says Raze’s shop at Windy Peak sells a Regular Katana for 500 Wen and a Fancy Katana for 1,500 Wen. Zuko on Starter Island is reported to drop a Rare Cutlass.
How to unlock V2 forging
- Reach level 65. Speak with Togane near Hidden Mist Village and complete the quest “Your other forge” to open the forge progression, according to the Slayers 2 Guide.
- Farm Ouwigahara Dungeon. The reported progression uses the dungeon to earn Dungeon Points and gather crafting resources.
- Bring the weapon and matching schematic. Take the existing base weapon and its corresponding schematic to the Nichirin Forge.
- Review the displayed recipe. A commonly reported reforge template is 90,000 Dungeon Points, 500 Metal Scraps, 10 Mythic Refinement Ore, 300 Silk Thread, Wen, the corresponding base weapon, and its schematic. Silk Thread requirements may vary by recipe, so use the forge screen as the final check.
- Confirm only if you mean to consume that weapon. The forge consumes the input weapon. Slayers 2 Guide reports that half of its refinement transfers, rounded down; do not use a base you intend to keep unchanged.

The guides do not establish an independently tested strength ranking among these weapons. Choose based on the weapon you want to keep, your schematic access, and the exact cost shown by the forge rather than assuming one V2 is universally strongest.

The routes and figures here are reported by third-party guides and community wikis: Nerd’s Chalk updated its matching guide on September 21, 2026; the community wiki weapon page is dated September 29, 2026, and its forging page September 27, 2026. The Stone rate conflict remains unresolved by official evidence. Because Project Slayers 2 is newly launched and balance details can change, verify boss locations, drop rates, and each recipe against current in-game prompts and the forge display.
