The POCO X8 Pro is the stronger specification-led choice for processing hardware and rated charging speed; the TECNO POVA 8 Pro 5G gives you a larger, faster-refresh display and advertises more ingress-protection ratings. Both list 6,500mAh batteries and stabilized 50MP main cameras. Which is better depends on what matters most—and on current local pricing.

Which phone is better for performance and charging?
On listed processor specifications, the POCO has the advantage: its Dimensity 8500-Ultra is specified up to 3.4GHz, compared with up to 2.6GHz for the TECNO’s Dimensity 7400 Ultimate. That makes the POCO the more compelling choice if processing hardware is your priority, but clock speed and chipset tier are not substitutes for comparable independent benchmarks. No direct benchmark comparison is established here.

The POCO also lists 100W HyperCharge, versus 45W charging for the TECNO. That is a higher rated charging speed, not a guarantee of a particular charging time; actual results depend on conditions and compatible charging equipment.

Which display is the better fit?
The TECNO has the larger screen at 6.78 inches and the higher listed refresh rate, up to 144Hz. The POCO is smaller at 6.59 inches and lists up to 120Hz. Prefer the TECNO if screen size and maximum refresh rate are priorities; the POCO may suit someone who wants a more compact display. Refresh rate alone does not establish which panel looks better overall.
Do the cameras or battery make one a clear winner?
Both phones list a 50MP main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), plus an 8MP ultrawide rear camera. The POCO names a Sony IMX882 sensor; the TECNO names a Sony LYTIA 700C. Those labels and megapixel counts do not establish which phone takes better photos. Without comparable camera samples or testing, a camera-quality winner cannot be called.

The stated battery capacities are also the same: 6,500mAh for each. Capacity does not establish real-world runtime, which depends on the phone, settings and usage. No standardized battery-runtime comparison is available here. The POCO’s higher rated charging speed is the specification difference, not evidence that it lasts longer.
What is the price difference?
In an India snapshot on the 91mobiles comparison page, the POCO X8 Pro was shown at ₹39,999 with an out-of-stock marker, while the TECNO POVA 8 Pro 5G was listed at ₹49,999 via Flipkart. The snapshot arithmetic is a ₹10,000 difference, with the TECNO higher. It is not a live, matched-configuration quote, and it should not be treated as the current or universal price gap.

How to choose between them
- Choose the POCO X8 Pro if you prioritize its higher listed chipset tier, smaller display or faster rated wired charging.
- Consider the TECNO POVA 8 Pro 5G if you prefer a larger 144Hz screen or value the additional ingress-protection ratings TECNO advertises. Treat those as manufacturer claims with the stated testing qualifications; neither phone should be described as waterproof.
- Decide locally on price and support. Verify the exact regional model, configuration, warranty and software-support commitment before purchase. The available official information does not establish a comparable update-policy winner.
