How the display specifications compare
The Redmi’s listed screen is 0.10 inches larger diagonally: 6.77 inches versus 6.67 inches. Xiaomi specifies a curved AMOLED panel at 2392 × 1080, while Gadgets Now reports AMOLED and 1220 × 2712 for the POCO. Both are listed at 120Hz. These figures describe size, resolution and refresh rate; they do not establish which screen is brighter, more colour-accurate, easier to view outdoors or better calibrated. Those judgments require comparable measurements or direct viewing.

The Redmi uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 3, while the POCO is reported to use MediaTek’s Dimensity 7300 Ultra. The available information does not include comparable benchmark results or controlled performance testing. A chipset name alone is not enough to call one phone faster for games, everyday apps, sustained workloads or efficiency. Buyers focused on a particular game or demanding app should look for tests of the exact regional models and software versions.

Camera systems: an extra lens is not proof of better photos
Gadgets Now lists three rear cameras for the POCO X7—50MP, 8MP and 2MP—and describes the 8MP camera as ultrawide. Xiaomi lists two rear cameras on the Redmi: a 50MP Light Fusion 400 main camera and a 2MP depth camera. That gives the POCO a listed ultrawide option for wider framing, but the available specifications do not establish image quality, low-light performance, colour consistency or video capability. No comparable photo samples are available here, so camera-count and megapixel differences should not be treated as a quality verdict.
Battery capacity, charging and software support
Xiaomi lists the Redmi battery at 5800mAh typical, compared with the 5500mAh capacity reported for the POCO. Redmi therefore has the larger stated capacity, but capacity figures alone do not prove longer real-world battery life; screen use, connectivity, software and workload all affect endurance. Both are listed with 45W charging, though Xiaomi calls its Redmi implementation 45W Turbo Charging and says a charger is included in the box.

The listed software versions also differ: Gadgets Now reports Android 14 with HyperOS for POCO, and Xiaomi India lists Android 15 with HyperOS 3 for Redmi. Xiaomi advertises “4 years of OS updates and 6 years of security patches” for the Redmi. Its cited product material does not specify when those support periods begin, so an end date cannot be calculated from that statement alone. Confirm the software version and support terms applicable to the unit and market you are considering.
Price in India: compare the same storage tier
Gadgets Now’s comparison page displayed ₹17,999 for the POCO X7 and ₹24,855 for the Redmi Note 15 SE 5G. Xiaomi India separately displayed a starting price of ₹25,999 for the Redmi, with ₹34,999 shown as its marketing price. These are observed listing figures, not fixed prices or a confirmed like-for-like price comparison. The comparison page reported multiple RAM and storage variants, and the sources do not establish that the displayed prices refer to matching configurations, sellers or offers.

Before deciding whether the Redmi is worth a premium, match RAM and storage, then check the current seller, offer and price on the day you buy. The two cited Redmi price displays already differ, which illustrates why a comparison-page price should not be treated as a permanent official price.
Which one should you choose?
- Consider the Redmi Note 15 SE 5G if its larger listed display, larger typical battery, bundled charger, or Xiaomi’s stated update commitment matter most. Its official India specifications also state microSD expansion up to 1TB, subject to compatibility, and IP65 + IP66 dust and water resistance under specified lab conditions; Xiaomi says this does not cover liquid damage beyond those conditions.
- Consider the POCO X7 if an ultrawide rear camera is important and you find a suitable current listing at a price that makes sense for your chosen configuration. The cited POCO specifications and comparison price are from a third-party publisher, not a POCO manufacturer page.
- Do not choose on a claimed speed, camera-quality or battery-life win based only on these listed specifications. The available evidence does not provide comparable tests for those outcomes.
