The Redmi Note 15 5G offers a larger curved screen, microSD expansion and an IP66 rating in Xiaomi India’s specifications. Xiaomi India lists the Redmi from ₹28,999, but a comparable current POCO X7 Pro price was not established, so there is no reliable price difference to quote.

Which phone is faster for games and heavy workloads?
The POCO X7 Pro has the stronger hardware configuration on paper. Its Dimensity 8400-Ultra is paired with LPDDR5X memory and UFS 4.0 storage, while the India Redmi Note 15 5G uses a Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 with LPDDR4X and UFS 2.2. That makes the POCO the more compelling specification-led option for demanding games and intensive multitasking. No benchmark scores or real-world performance tests are available here, so this is not a measured performance gap.

POCO also offers up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. The cited Redmi India configurations top out at 8GB/256GB, but its microSD slot supports expansion up to 1TB. Choose the POCO if you want faster internal storage and more built-in capacity; consider the Redmi if removable-card expansion matters more.
How do the displays differ?
The Redmi has the larger panel at 6.77 inches, and its curved edges give it a different feel from the POCO’s flat 6.67-inch screen. The POCO’s 2712 × 1220 resolution is higher than the Redmi’s 2392 × 1080, while both advertise refresh rates up to 120Hz.

The brightness numbers are not directly interchangeable: Xiaomi lists the POCO at 3200 nits peak and 1400 nits HBM, while the Redmi listing gives 3200 nits peak and 800 nits typical. Peak figures and typical or HBM figures describe different categories; they do not establish that either screen sustains a particular brightness in everyday use.

Not on megapixel count alone. The Redmi’s India specification lists a 108MP OIS main camera; the POCO lists a 50MP OIS main camera. Both also have an 8MP ultrawide. Those hardware figures do not establish which phone takes better photos, and no independent camera comparison is available here. If camera quality is the deciding factor, look for a direct test of the exact regional models rather than treating the larger sensor resolution as a verdict.

Battery, charging and regional differences
The POCO Global page lists a 6000mAh typical battery and 90W charging. Xiaomi’s FAQ says the India POCO variant has a 6550mAh typical battery, so the global battery figure should not be applied to every market. The Redmi Note 15 5G India specifications list 5520mAh and 45W charging, as well as 18W reverse charging.
On the published charging ratings, the POCO supports faster wired charging. Battery capacity and charging specifications do not by themselves tell you how long either phone lasts in use. Xiaomi’s India Redmi product page also claims that its 5520mAh Si/C EV-grade battery stays strong after 1,600 cycles; that is Xiaomi’s marketing claim, not an independently verified test result.

Durability and carrying comfort
Xiaomi India lists the Redmi Note 15 5G at 178g with IP66 protection. The POCO Global specification lists weights of 195g for the plastic finish and 198g for the PU finish. The POCO specification excerpt used here does not establish an IP rating, so check the documentation for the exact local SKU rather than assuming a rating either way. The Redmi’s IP66 claim applies to the India model cited, not automatically to every regional version.

For a fair comparison, check both phones at the same time and in the same country, matching storage tier, seller and warranty. The Redmi’s listed price starts with its India configuration; compare it with the POCO variant you would actually buy, not a different region’s price or an unmatched storage option.
