On the listed figures, the Ai+ Nova 2 Ultra 5G is the cheaper phone by ₹1,821 and has the larger battery (6000 mAh against 5520 mAh) and the higher reported screen resolution. The POCO M8 5G has the faster listed charging (45 W against 33 W) and the only official specification sheet of the two. Neither phone has a verified performance lead, and the Ai+ price and stock status are the least certain part of this comparison, so check both before you buy.
Price difference and availability
A 91mobiles comparison page, consulted in early October 2026 (the snapshot is dated 7 October 2026), shows ₹22,820 for the POCO M8 5G, with the Amazon India price as the reference, and ₹20,999 for the Ai+ Nova 2 Ultra 5G. That is a gap of ₹1,821 in favour of the Ai+.
As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
Treat those figures as a snapshot. Retail prices for phones change often, and the same page is inconsistent about the Ai+: one view of the listing marks it out of stock, while another shows a Flipkart price. Before comparing prices, confirm that both listings are for the same RAM and storage configuration, since a difference in memory can account for more than the price gap itself.
Specifications side by side
The table below uses the figures as they appear in the comparison listing for each phone. The POCO display, chipset and charging figures can be checked against POCO’s official global product page. We could not find an official Ai+ product page for this model at the time of writing, so every Ai+ figure should be treated as a secondary-source claim until the seller or brand confirms it for the India variant.

Display
The two screens are close in size, and both are listed at 120 Hz. The difference is the reported pixel count. The Ai+ is listed at 1272 × 2772, which is roughly 3.5 million pixels, while the POCO is listed at 2392 × 1080, roughly 2.6 million. The two listings write their dimensions in different orders, so check the orientation before comparing the numbers directly. A higher pixel count is only a meaningful advantage if you can see it in use; brightness, colour accuracy and panel quality are not in either listing.
Battery and charging
The Ai+ has about 8.7% more battery capacity on paper, and the POCO charges faster on paper. Those two facts do not tell you how long either phone will last through a day or how long a full charge takes. Real endurance depends on the processor, the screen settings, the network and how the phone is used, and charge time depends on the charger you actually plug in. Neither listing provides tested endurance or charge-time figures.

Cameras
Both phones are listed with a 50 MP main rear camera. The Ai+ adds an 8 MP ultra-wide lens, which the POCO is not listed with; the POCO’s second rear sensor is a 2 MP depth sensor, which mostly assists portrait effects rather than capturing a wider scene. On the front, the POCO is listed at 20 MP and the Ai+ at 13 MP. Megapixel counts do not reveal how sharp, well exposed or low-light capable a camera is. If the ultra-wide lens matters to you, the Ai+ is the only one of the two that offers it according to the listing. Photo quality for either phone needs judging from sample images taken on the exact model.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteChipset and performance
The Ai+ uses MediaTek’s Dimensity 7400 and the POCO uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 3. The listed peak CPU clocks, 2.6 GHz and 2.4 GHz, are the only performance figures in the comparison. Clock speed alone does not decide performance, because chips differ in core design, memory support and thermal behaviour. We did not find comparable independent benchmark results for either phone, so we cannot name a speed winner. Gaming and sustained-load performance should be checked in reviews that test the same memory configuration you plan to buy.

Software and updates
The comparison entries list the POCO with Android 15 and HyperOS, and the Ai+ with Android 16. That reflects the software listed at release, not the software you will receive. Regional software versions and the number of years of updates promised for India were not stated in the sources we reviewed. Ask the brand or the seller for the update commitment in writing before you buy if long-term software support is a priority.
Which phone to choose
- Choose the Ai+ Nova 2 Ultra 5G if price is the deciding factor and the seller confirms it is in stock. It also suits buyers who value the larger battery, the higher listed screen resolution or the ultra-wide rear lens.
- Choose the POCO M8 5G if you want the faster listed charging, a phone whose specifications are published on the brand’s own site, or the higher front-camera resolution for selfies.
- Do not decide on the chipset from the spec sheet alone. Without comparable benchmark or review data for the same memory configuration, the performance difference is unknown.
Before you buy
- Confirm that both listings are for the same RAM and storage configuration.
- Compare the final checkout price, including bank offers, delivery charges and any exchange discount, rather than the headline price.
- Check stock on the seller’s own product page, because the Ai+ listing gave conflicting availability.
- Ask the brand or seller about Indian software updates and warranty terms for the exact model.
- Look for hands-on reviews of the same configuration before relying on camera, gaming or battery claims.
