The POCO M7 Pro 5G is the cheaper phone on listed prices, at ₹14,999 against ₹19,499 for the Ai+ Nova 2 Pro 5G, a gap of ₹4,500. The two phones trade off against each other. POCO offers an AMOLED panel, faster 45W charging and, according to a comparison listing, longer stated software support. Ai+ offers a larger 6.9-inch LCD and a 6000mAh battery. Neither phone wins on every line, and the price gap should be rechecked on the day you buy.
What the price difference actually covers
Gadgets 360 reported the POCO M7 Pro 5G at ₹14,999 for the 6GB/128GB version and ₹16,999 for the 8GB/256GB version, in a report dated September 11, 2026. A Gadgets Now comparison page, crawled in the week before October 7, 2026, lists the POCO at ₹14,999 and the Ai+ at ₹19,499. That comparison does not say which Ai+ memory configuration the ₹19,499 figure refers to.

Ai+ Smartphone’s launch-sales announcement, republished by ThePrint and ANI on June 26, 2026, names two configurations for the Nova 2 Pro 5G: 6GB/128GB and 8GB/128GB. It describes its starting prices as including a ₹1,000 bank offer. A price that depends on a bank offer is not the same as a plain listed price, so the two should not be compared without noting that difference.

The most direct like-for-like comparison is POCO’s 6GB/128GB at ₹14,999 against the Ai+ 6GB/128GB price on the same seller and date. Neither source gives that Ai+ figure, so check it on the live listing before deciding. If the Ai+ 6GB/128GB price is closer to ₹19,499 than to ₹14,999, the gap is real. If it is lower, the choice becomes much closer.

POCO’s specifications come from Xiaomi’s official regional specifications page, which notes that configurations and package contents can vary by market. The Ai+ specifications come from a comparison listing, because a complete official specification page was not located for this comparison.
Display: a smaller AMOLED against a larger LCD
The POCO has the smaller screen, but it uses AMOLED, which generally produces deeper blacks and higher contrast than IPS LCD. The Ai+ screen is about a quarter inch larger diagonally. If you watch video or read long pages, the larger panel may matter more. If you prefer a higher-contrast screen at a smaller size, POCO is the better match.
Neither source reports brightness, colour accuracy or panel quality measurements, so the difference you will notice in daily use is not established by these figures alone.
Battery and charging
The Ai+ lists the larger battery at 6000mAh, against 5110mAh typical for the POCO. POCO lists faster 45W charging, against 33W for the Ai+. A larger battery does not automatically mean longer use, and faster charging does not mean the battery lasts longer. Real-world endurance depends on the screen, processor, software and how you use the phone, and no comparative battery test was found for either phone.
Cameras
POCO lists a 50MP main camera with optical image stabilisation and a 2MP depth sensor, plus a 20MP front camera. The Ai+ comparison lists a 48MP main camera, an 8MP second rear sensor and a 13MP front camera. Megapixel counts describe sensor resolution, not image quality. Processing, lens quality and low-light performance matter more, and no controlled camera comparison was found for these two phones.
Processor and performance
POCO uses the MediaTek Dimensity 7025-Ultra, and the Ai+ comparison lists the Dimensity 7100. A chip name tells you the platform, not how the phone will sustain performance under load, with heat and memory configuration also in play. No benchmark result for either phone was located, so this article does not rank their speed.
Software and update promises
POCO runs HyperOS and is listed with Android 14. The comparison lists two years of operating-system updates and four years of security updates. The Ai+ is listed with Android 16 and one year of operating-system updates plus two years of security updates. Both update durations come from comparison listings, and the Ai+ figures were not checked against an official support policy. Confirm the promised support period on the manufacturer’s regional website before buying, because update policies can differ by market and model.

Which phone fits which buyer
- Choose the POCO M7 Pro 5G if the lower price is the deciding factor, you prefer an AMOLED screen, you charge often and want faster charging, or the longer update window in the comparison listing matters to you.
- Choose the Ai+ Nova 2 Pro 5G if you want the bigger screen, the larger battery, or the newer Android version out of the box, and the live price for the same memory configuration is close to the POCO’s.
- Check the memory first. If you need 8GB of RAM, the POCO 8GB/256GB is listed at ₹16,999, and the Ai+ 8GB/128GB price was not stated in the sources reviewed. Compare like with like.
What these specifications cannot tell you
- Whether either phone’s listed price is available today, from a particular seller or without a bank offer.
- How either phone performs in sustained use, gaming, or heat, since no benchmark results were located.
- How camera quality compares, since no controlled test was found.
- Whether the Ai+ update figures match an official support policy, since they come from a secondary listing.
- Whether the box contents, colour options or regional model codes you find on a store listing match the specifications above.
Check the seller’s listing for the exact memory configuration, the price with and without offers, and the stated update policy before you buy. The price gap of ₹4,500 is the starting point for the decision, not the final answer.
