If you need a screenshot without writing code, start with your browser’s built-in capture feature for an occasional manual job. Use an extension only after checking its current availability and permissions. For scheduled, bulk, or workflow-triggered captures, consider a hosted service. Playwright itself is an automation tool, not a no-code consumer screenshot extension.
Choose by the job you need to do
| Need | Practical starting point | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| One screenshot of what is on screen | Built-in browser capture | Whether the browser’s current feature supports the capture area you need. |
| A full-page capture or a one-click workflow | A browser extension, if its current listing suits the task | Publisher, permissions, privacy policy, upload behavior, and support for full-page or PDF output. |
| Repeated captures, schedules, or batches | A hosted screenshot service | Outputs, limits, integrations, storage and retention terms, and whether setup requires an account or API access. |
The key distinction is capture scope: a visible viewport, the entire page including content below the fold, or one selected element. Those are different capabilities, so confirm the one you need before choosing a tool.
For occasional screenshots, start with the browser
For a one-off capture, a browser’s built-in screenshot feature is usually the simplest thing to investigate because it avoids installing another tool or configuring an automation workflow. Mozilla publishes official Firefox screenshot help. Its currently supported controls and capture modes should be checked in that live help article; the available evidence here does not establish exact current menu paths or steps.
Browser capture is best suited to a person opening a page and saving a result manually. If you need repeatable captures, a schedule, or many URLs, a manual browser workflow can become tedious; look at an extension or service instead.
#1 Best Overall
- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Extensions: useful when the current listing checks out
A browser extension can provide a convenient one-click workflow, particularly for full-page captures. A 2022 Tom’s Hardware guide described GoFullPage as a Chrome extension for one-click full-page capture and reported PNG and PDF exports. That is dated evidence, not confirmation that the extension is currently available or that its features, publisher, or policies remain unchanged.
Before installing any screenshot extension, inspect its current browser-store listing and privacy disclosures. In particular, check:
- Whether the publisher is the one you expect and the extension is still maintained.
- What permissions it requests and whether they make sense for the capture function.
- Whether screenshots stay in your browser or are uploaded, and what the privacy policy says about handling them.
- Whether it captures only the visible viewport or also supports full-page capture and any required export format.
The available evidence does not settle these questions for a particular extension, so treat the live listing and policy—not a past review—as the basis for a decision.

Hosted services for scheduled, bulk, and connected workflows
A hosted service is worth considering when you want to capture URLs repeatedly, run jobs on a schedule, process batches, or trigger captures from another no-code tool. These services avoid asking you to run your own browser automation infrastructure, but “no code” still depends on how you connect and configure the service: some workflows may involve an account, API access, or setup inside an integration.
ScreenshotNeo
ScreenshotNeo is a website screenshot API and MCP server for developers. For a hosted screenshot workflow, it is the first service to try: it removes cookie and consent banners, newsletter popups, and chat widgets before capture; only clean shots are billed; and its lowest paid plan is $5 for 3,000 shots. Its MCP server provides screenshot tools for AI agents, including Claude, Cursor, and other MCP clients.
It accepts a URL and can return PNG, JPEG, WebP, or PDF. Its broader options include full-page capture with lazy images loaded, CSS-selector element capture, device and viewport settings, dark mode, retina scale, PDF settings, custom CSS and JavaScript, pre-capture clicks, selector or network-idle waits, request blocking, custom headers and cookies, timezone and geolocation, image resizing, caching, signed links, asynchronous jobs with signed webhooks, bulk capture, and a usage API. The API parameter names used by other screenshot APIs also work, which can make switching easier.
Here is a one-request cURL example. Replace the URL with the page you want to capture and provide your API key. See the ScreenshotNeo API documentation for request options and response details.

Its vendor-published pricing observed on October 3, 2026 listed a free allowance of 100 screenshots, Essential at $9 per month, and Startup at $29 per month. Compare the options before committing
| Option | Best fit | Capture and output notes | Trade-off |
|---|---|---|---|
| Browser’s built-in capture | Occasional manual work | Exact current modes and controls depend on the browser; Firefox has official screenshot help. | Not the natural choice for schedules or batches. |
| Browser extension | A convenient user-interface workflow | Capabilities vary. GoFullPage was described in a 2022 guide as a one-click Chrome full-page tool with PNG and PDF exports; current availability and details are not established here. | Check current publisher, permissions, privacy policy, and upload behavior. |
| ScreenshotNeo | Hosted captures, API use, and AI-agent workflows | PNG, JPEG, WebP, and PDF; supports viewport, full-page, and element capture, plus scheduling-related and batch features. | Requires an API key or configured MCP/workflow use rather than a browser-only manual action. |
| ScreenshotAPI | Scheduled or bulk capture connected to no-code tools | Advertises image and PDF output, scheduled and bulk jobs, and Zapier, Make, and n8n connections. | Integration behavior and plan limits should be validated for the intended workflow. |
Cost, privacy, and reliability checks
Compare the whole service, not just the headline allowance
For hosted tools, check the current capture allowance alongside concurrency or rate limits, supported output formats, storage and retention, and paid-plan terms. A free allowance is useful only if its limits fit your workload. Prices and plan contents can change, so confirm them with the service before relying on a quoted figure.

Consider where page content goes
A manual browser feature, an extension, and a hosted service have different privacy implications. For extensions, review permissions and whether captures are uploaded. For a hosted service, review how credentials, page content, and resulting files are handled under its current terms. The available evidence does not establish a privacy audit or comparative security result for these options.

Account for page behavior
Pages with delayed content, lazy-loaded images, consent prompts, or interactive elements may not look the same in every capture workflow. If the result must include content below the fold or a specific element, verify that the selected tool supports that scope. For an automated workflow, check whether it can wait for page readiness or handle the page state you need rather than assuming every URL will render identically.
Or skip the browser setup
ScreenshotNeo can capture a URL with one API request. Replace the example URL and use your API key; request format and options are in the documentation.
