Its World plans share core protections and support features but differ in storage and resource priority. HybridCloud targets larger workloads with dedicated capacity. PlanetHoster’s advertised prices and product claims are not independent performance evidence, and available customer reviews cannot establish typical uptime or speed.
What does PlanetHoster offer?
PlanetHoster’s English site groups its services into three broad categories: The World project-based hosting, semi-dedicated or high-resource hosting, and HybridCloud managed dedicated servers. The World is organized around separate Web Projects, while HybridCloud is for workloads that need dedicated resources and managed server administration.

The World: hosting organized by project
With The World, customers create and manage Web Projects through the N0C interface. PlanetHoster says projects are individually isolated and distributed across separate physical infrastructure. Its documentation describes Europe and North America choices, identifying France, Switzerland and Canada as locations. Confirm the available location for the specific product and project before ordering, especially if data jurisdiction matters. See the World technical introduction and infrastructure guide.

HybridCloud: managed dedicated capacity
HybridCloud is positioned as a customizable managed server, with PlanetHoster handling server administration. The company’s July 2026 knowledge-base introduction advertises configurations of up to 32 CPU cores, 256 GB RAM and 16 TB storage, while its homepage describes up to 32 cores and 128 GB RAM. Those published maximum-RAM figures conflict, so treat capacity as configuration-dependent and verify the current order page rather than relying on a universal maximum. See the HybridCloud introduction.

Which World plan should you choose?
The comparison below reflects PlanetHoster’s published plan descriptions, not a controlled performance test. More storage or a named software feature does not guarantee a specific speed improvement for an individual website.
| Plan | Premium NVMe/SSD | N0C S3-compatible storage | Notable distinction |
|---|---|---|---|
| Standard | 10 GB | 50 GB | Entry World tier |
| Plus | 50 GB | 250 GB | More included storage than Standard |
| Ultra | 100 GB | 500 GB | Priority semi-dedicated resources; includes LiteSpeed Enterprise, LiteMage and Auto Peak Power |
PlanetHoster’s comparison lists SSL, daily backups retained for 45 days, restoration, WAF and anti-DDoS features across these tiers. It describes Auto Peak Power on Ultra as a 2.5× multiple for four hours. The page also lists unlimited bandwidth, databases and email addresses, plus PHP, Node.js, Python and Ruby support. These are vendor feature descriptions; check the contract and fair-use terms for practical limits on the plan you intend to buy. See the World plan comparison.
- Choose Standard if the listed storage capacity meets your needs and you do not need Ultra’s named features or resource priority.
- Choose Plus if you need more NVMe/SSD and S3-compatible storage than Standard provides.
- Consider Ultra if priority semi-dedicated resources, LiteSpeed Enterprise, LiteMage or the stated temporary resource scaling are relevant to your workload.
- Consider HybridCloud instead if your application needs dedicated server capacity and managed administration rather than a World tier.
How much does PlanetHoster cost?
Prices shown on PlanetHoster’s homepage in August 2026 were €7.99 per month for Standard, €12.99 per month for Plus and €19.99 per month for Ultra; the same page also displayed a separate shared-hosting starting offer of €5.49 per month. These are advertised figures from the page, not a guarantee of the total for every region, billing term or configuration. Another product page presents components and a total that depends on configuration rather than one universal checkout price.

How reliable is PlanetHoster, and what do customers say?
PlanetHoster says it has operated its own infrastructure since 2007 and has data centers in France, Switzerland and Canada. Its homepage reported 500,000 hosted websites and 96.8% customer satisfaction based on 7,188 verified reviews in August 2026. These are company-published figures, not independently audited measurements in the evidence available here. The company’s statement is: “PlanetHoster has operated its own infrastructure since 2007, with 3 data centers in France, Switzerland and Canada.” See its official homepage.
At the captured Trustpilot snapshot, PlanetHoster’s profile showed a 5/5 TrustScore and roughly 5,500 reviews. The displayed distribution was 82% five-star, 11% four-star, 2% three-star, 1% two-star and 4% one-star. Reviewers often praised responsive, helpful support; visible critical reports included website interruptions, domain or billing/account issues, and inconsistent support. These are self-selected reviewer reports, and the ratings and distribution can change. They do not measure uptime or establish what most customers experience. Read the full thread before drawing conclusions from an individual dispute; the provider replied to some critical reviews. See the PlanetHoster Trustpilot profile.
Rank #4
No controlled speed test, independent uptime series or like-for-like competitor test is established here. That means the available evidence supports evaluating PlanetHoster’s published features and customer feedback, but not a claim that it will outperform another host or deliver a particular uptime or page speed.
Support, migration and refunds
PlanetHoster’s product pages advertise free migration, 24/7 support and a 60-day money-back or satisfaction guarantee. The World comparison describes human French-language support and priority support for Ultra. Confirm eligibility, exclusions, refund method and support language for your market and product before purchase; the advertised guarantee alone does not establish the conditions that apply to every order. See the World comparison.
Best Value
The company’s upgrade guide says its staff can help with an immediate upgrade and suggests HybridCloud when shared resources no longer fit. This is guidance, not assurance that every application or migration can be moved without planning. Review the upgrade guide and ask support about the implications for your configuration.
PlanetHoster vs. other web hosts: what should you compare?
Without like-for-like independent testing, the useful comparison is about fit and total terms—not a speed ranking. Ask each provider the same questions:
- Workload: Does your site fit project-based hosting, or does it need dedicated capacity and managed server administration?
- Storage: Compare included NVMe/SSD space and any S3-compatible storage against your actual files, backups and growth.
- Isolation and priority: Establish what resource allocation means for the product and whether a semi-dedicated or dedicated option is warranted.
- Location and jurisdiction: Confirm the physical region available for your product and whether it suits your data requirements.
- Total cost: Compare the full first term and renewal price, including configuration-dependent charges and tax.
- Safeguards and exit: Check backup retention, restoration, migration, cancellation and refund terms.
- Support: Verify languages, availability and whether priority support applies to your tier.
Is PlanetHoster good?
PlanetHoster looks like a plausible option for buyers who value a project-based hosting setup with higher World tiers to grow into, or who specifically want a managed dedicated-server product. Its published plan comparison makes storage and Ultra’s extra features relatively easy to distinguish. The main reasons to verify details before committing are changing or configuration-specific pricing, the conflicting published HybridCloud RAM maxima, and the absence of independent performance evidence in the material available here. Customer sentiment in the captured Trustpilot snapshot is strongly positive overall, but includes reports of meaningful service and account problems.
