The Pixel 11 Pro costs $200 more at Google’s U.S. launch prices, and its strongest upgrades are a sharper, brighter display and higher-resolution camera hardware. Both phones share a 6.3-inch screen size, the Tensor G6 processor and Google’s seven-year update commitment. Choose the Pixel 11 if those shared features matter more than the Pro’s screen and camera improvements; choose the Pro if they justify the extra cost for you.

What is the Pixel 11 Pro price difference?
Google’s U.S. launch starting prices were $899 for Pixel 11 and $1,099 for Pixel 11 Pro—a $200 difference before taxes, discounts, trade-ins or carrier offers. Google said the phones were on shelves by August 25, 2026, confirming sales had begun by then; that date does not establish the launch date in every market. Prices and promotions can change, so check the price for the exact model and storage configuration before buying. Google’s launch announcement and its availability announcement give the U.S. launch context.

Where the Pro’s $200 premium goes
A sharper, brighter display
Both phones have a 6.3-inch display, but the Pro’s panel is higher-resolution: 1280 × 2856 at 495 ppi, compared with 1080 × 2424 at 422 ppi on Pixel 11. The Pro also uses LTPO technology and is listed with a 1–120Hz refresh range; the base model is listed at 60–120Hz. Google’s peak-brightness ratings are 3,600 nits for the Pro and 3,000 nits for Pixel 11. These specifications favor the Pro on paper, but they do not by themselves establish how the screens compare in every viewing condition.
#1 Best Overall
- Google Pixel’s iconic design meets the latest evolution of the Pixel Camera on the new Pixel 11; Gemini Intelligence helps manage details so you can stay perfectly present[1]
- Unlocked Android phone gives you the flexibility to change carriers and choose your own data plan: Works with Google Fi, Verizon, T-Mobile, AT&T, and other major carriers[2]
- Sleek, solid, and built to last: Pixel 11 has the slimmest camera bar yet in its class, a smooth satin back, and ultra-durable glass and IP68 water and dust protection, so it’s intentionally built to stay strong for years[3,4]
- Long battery life: With 30+ hours of reliable power and upgraded wireless charging, your Google Pixel 11 can charge 25% faster than before[5,6]; it even powers up to 55% in about 30 minutes with ultra-fast wired charging[7]
- The latest evolution of the Google Pixel Camera: Take super crisp closeups with an upgraded 30x Super Zoom[3]; Night Sight takes clear photos, portraits, and panos in low-light settings
More capable listed camera hardware
The most pronounced camera specification gap is in the ultrawide and telephoto cameras: Pixel 11 lists 13MP and 10.8MP sensors, while the Pro lists 48MP for each. Both have a 5× telephoto camera. Google lists zoom ceilings of 30× Super Zoom for Pixel 11 and 120× Pro Zoom for Pixel 11 Pro; those maximum figures alone do not show the quality of a zoomed image. The Pro also has a 50MP wide camera versus 48MP on Pixel 11, and a 42MP autofocus front camera versus 10.5MP on the base model. Higher megapixel counts are specifications, not a guarantee of better photos in every situation.
More RAM only in higher-storage Pro configurations
At 256GB, both phones have 12GB of RAM. Pixel 11 also has 12GB with 512GB storage, while Pixel 11 Pro has 16GB with 512GB or 1TB. So the Pro’s RAM advantage applies only if you choose one of those larger-capacity versions; it is not a difference between the 256GB models.

A small weight difference and a battery-capacity reversal
Pixel 11 weighs 197g and has a listed typical battery capacity of 4,985mAh. The Pro weighs 204g and lists 4,850mAh. Google lists more than 30 hours of battery life for both, but that is a manufacturer claim, not an independent side-by-side result. Battery capacity alone cannot establish which phone lasts longer in everyday use.
What the two phones share
- Processor: Both use Google Tensor G6, so Google’s listed specifications do not give the Pro a newer processor generation.
- Screen size: Each has a 6.3-inch display; the difference is in panel type, resolution, refresh range and peak-brightness rating.
- Charging: Google lists the same wired charging claim and Qi2.2 wireless charging up to 25W for both. A compatible charger may be sold separately.
- Support: Google promises seven years of OS, security and Pixel Drop updates for both models. The support period does not distinguish them.
Which one should you buy?
Choose Pixel 11 if you want the shared essentials for less
- You want a 6.3-inch Pixel with Tensor G6 and the same published support duration.
- You want a triple rear-camera setup that includes a 5× optical telephoto camera, but do not place as much value on the Pro’s higher-resolution ultrawide and telephoto hardware.
- You prefer the lower U.S. launch starting price and do not need the Pro’s display specifications or higher-RAM storage tiers.
Choose Pixel 11 Pro if its specific upgrades matter to you
- You prioritize the higher-resolution display, LTPO refresh range or higher listed peak brightness.
- You want the Pro’s higher-resolution ultrawide and telephoto cameras, higher listed zoom ceiling or higher-resolution autofocus front camera.
- You need 16GB RAM and are choosing the 512GB or 1TB configuration.
The Pro’s extra cost is easiest to justify when one or more of those upgrades directly match how you plan to use the phone. The specifications do not establish that the Pro is the better value for every buyer.

Availability and offer details to check
Google’s launch materials announced a six-month Google AI Pro offer for eligible Pixel 11 Pro buyers. It is a limited trial rather than an ongoing included subscription; eligibility and geographic conditions apply, so check the official offer terms at purchase. Google’s announcement also mentions HiLight on Pro models. Because current checkout prices and promotions can differ from launch pricing, confirm the exact model, storage, carrier status and offer terms with the seller.
