To screen share on a Philips TV, first check its model and platform: Philips Google TV models covered by Philips’ support instructions can cast content from a supported app or Chrome over the same Wi-Fi network, while compatible models with Wireless Screencasting use Miracast to mirror a sender’s screen. These are different methods, and neither works on every Philips Smart TV.
First identify what your Philips TV supports
Philips Smart TVs do not all use the same casting technology or menu. Check the exact model’s support page or manual before following steps. Look for Google TV or Chromecast built-in, Wireless Screencasting or Miracast, and—on some older sets—an MHL-labeled HDMI port.

Also decide whether you want to send content from an app or duplicate the whole screen. Philips’ Google TV instructions cover casting from a Chromecast-enabled app or Chrome; its Wireless Screencasting instructions cover Miracast screen sharing. A menu or protocol available on one model should not be assumed to exist on another.
Cast from an app or Chrome on Philips Google TV
For the Philips Google TV models listed in Philips’ Google TV casting instructions, use a current Chromecast-enabled app or Chrome on a computer. The TV and sending device must be connected to the same Wi-Fi network.

- Just plug in the adapter, power, and connect to the ScreenCast 4K to start Miracast casting. AirPlay and Google Cast (Chromecast) require Wi-Fi configuration. Please follow the setup instructions in the manual.
- Connect the Philips Google TV and your phone, tablet, or computer to the same Wi-Fi network.
- Open the content in a current Chromecast-enabled app, or open Chrome on a computer.
- Select the app’s Cast control, choose the Philips TV by its device name, and wait for the connection indicator.
- To end casting, open the Cast control again and disconnect.
This sends supported app content; it does not guarantee that every app or the sender’s entire screen can be mirrored. Philips’ support page names the models its directions cover, so confirm your set is included before relying on this route.
If the TV does not appear
- Check that the TV and sender are on the same wireless network.
- In the TV’s settings, confirm the Chromecast built-in system app is present and enabled.
- Install any available system update, then reboot the TV.
- Use Google TV settings to check the TV’s device name, which is the name you should look for in the Cast list.
Mirror with Philips Wireless Screencasting (Miracast)
If your Philips model has Wireless Screencasting, Philips’ Wireless Screencasting instructions use Miracast. Open Menu on the TV, select Wireless Screencasting, then start Miracast or wireless display on the sender and choose the TV when it appears. Sender settings may be called “cast screen” or “wireless display”; on some devices, the option is under display settings.

The sender must support Miracast. Philips lists Windows 8.1 or later, Windows Phone 8.1 or later, Android 4.4 or later, and BlackBerry 10.2.1 or later on that support page. A compatible Windows PC may still need updated drivers.
Philips says Apple does not support Miracast or Philips Wireless Screencasting. That does not establish whether a particular Apple device can use another casting feature on a particular Philips TV; check the TV’s documented compatibility or use a separately verified receiver.

Detailed connection please check the detailed description below or the User Manual according to your device system.
A Philips manual for a specific TV describes Miracast as a direct connection that does not require both devices to join the home network. It also requires Wi-Fi CERTIFIED Miracast devices with Miracast enabled. This is specific to the model covered by that manual; do not apply its connection behavior to every Philips TV or confuse it with Google TV app casting.
Understand Miracast content and resolution limits
The same model-specific manual says its Miracast implementation is subject to HDCP and cannot display copy-protected premium content sent from a device. A protected streaming app may block the picture even when ordinary screen sharing connects.

For that TV’s Miracast connection, the manual lists a maximum video resolution of 720p over 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi and 1080p over 5 GHz Wi-Fi. These are not general limits for every Philips TV, Google Cast, or other casting method.
Troubleshoot by the method you are using
- Google TV casting: verify same-Wi-Fi membership, make sure Chromecast built-in is enabled, check for system updates, and reboot.
- Miracast: confirm both TV and sender support Miracast, enable wireless display on the sender, and check PC drivers if using Windows.
- Menu mismatch: consult the manual for the exact TV model. Menu names and available features vary.
- Video connects but premium content is blank: the app or content may be blocked by copy protection on the model’s Miracast implementation.
When a wired MHL connection is relevant
A Philips manual for a particular older TV documents a wired option only when both the phone and TV are MHL-compliant: connect them with a passive MHL cable (HDMI to Micro USB) to the TV’s HDMI 1 MHL input. The manual says the phone charges while the TV is on and notes that the phone may need an additional adapter.
