The reviewed official listings confirm versions for PlayStation 5 and PC. The PlayStation US product page lists the PS5 game, and Steam lists the PC edition. The reviewed official material does not confirm an Xbox or Nintendo Switch version.

The August 17, 2026 PlayStation Blog post gives October 29 and notes an October 28 launch in the US and select regions; Steam also lists October 28, 2026. In short, the global date is listed as October 29, with October 28 shown for the US and some regions. Check your local storefront for the release date and unlock time that apply to you.

What is the gameplay like?
A dark wuxia action RPG
PlayStation describes the game as a dark wuxia action RPG powered by Unreal Engine 5. You play Soul, a swordsman framed for killing his master who has 66 days left to live. As he is pursued through the Wulin, he investigates a conspiracy. S-Game presents the setting as a mix of traditional wuxia, fantasy, and folk horror, with an aesthetic it calls “Kungfupunk.”
Weapons, upgrades, and combat choices
Combat centers on a large collection of weapons and ways to configure them. In the August 17, 2026 PlayStation Blog deep dive, S-Game founder and CEO Soulframe Liang says players can unlock more than 30 main weapons and 25 secondary weapons called Phantom Edges. The PlayStation US product page separately advertises 30+ main weapons and 20+ Phantom Edges, so the storefront and developer blog give different figures for the secondary weapons.

Liang’s blog describes upgrading weapons, combining them with accessories, reforging upgrades to recover materials, and using summons. It also outlines three difficulty choices:

- Wayfarer: for players who want to prioritize the story.
- Hellwalker: a greater challenge, with more advanced and adaptive enemy intelligence.
- Sixty-Six Days: described by the developer as exceptionally demanding.
These are the developer’s published descriptions, not independent assessments of how the combat or difficulty feels in play. The same blog says side quests may open additional story paths. It also identifies kung fu performer Donnie Yen as creative consultant and says he portrays Mó Yuan through facial and motion capture.

Connected exploration
A PC Gamer report dated August 18, 2026, covering the State of Play presentation, describes eight connected maps and quotes Liang on hand-painted Chinese ink-wash maps and bell-based fast travel between places the player has discovered. The report characterizes the structure as between a linear adventure and an open-world RPG. That is a description of the presented world design, rather than a claim that the game is a fully open world.
