These are the game’s published baselines, not a benchmark or a guarantee of smooth play at a specific resolution. Also distinguish the game’s listed Windows minimum from Steam client support: Steam says its client requires Windows 10 or later as of January 1, 2024. - Confirm the game is using the intended graphics adapter. This is general PC troubleshooting, especially relevant to laptops with integrated and discrete graphics. The official requirements list hardware but do not explain how to select an adapter.
- Change one graphics option at a time. Replay the same area after each adjustment so you can tell whether smoothness changed. Keep a change only if the result is better and the text remains comfortable to read.
- Consider resolution or rendering scale only if the option is available. Lowering either can help a struggling GPU in some games, but can make text softer. The current menu labels, ranges, and trade-offs for this game have not been verified, so do not assume a particular control exists.
- Restore changes that make the interface harder to use. If a setting improves motion but leaves menus or dialogue difficult to read, revert it and try a different option rather than accepting unclear text.

The Steam product listing says Persona 4 Golden is best experienced with a game controller. Use one if it is more comfortable for your play style; it does not increase graphics performance or fix low frame rates.
