Its online tool is described as free, and PDFCrowd says its credit system does not apply to Online Tools. That does not establish that use is unlimited: the official pages reviewed do not specify a per-day, per-month, per-account, or per-conversion maximum.
What PDFCrowd’s free offer includes
“Free plan” can mean two different things at PDFCrowd: the browser-based online converter or a trial of its API. They have different terms, so the API’s credits should not be treated as a page allowance for the online tool.

Free online converter
PDFCrowd’s HTML-to-PDF converter is presented as free to use for converting web pages, HTML files, or code. Its credit FAQ says credits do not apply to Online Tools. Neither source gives a number of pages or conversions allowed, nor promises that there is no technical, anti-abuse, or per-conversion cap.
The free output carries PDFCrowd branding and has reduced settings. The converter page says a license removes the branding and allows customized conversion settings. PDFCrowd announced its online tools as free on January 19, 2023, and the current converter page also describes the tool as free; neither statement gives a page quota.

Free API trial
PDFCrowd’s pricing page lists 100 test API credits valid for one month. These are not 100 web pages. PDFCrowd measures credits by output size: one credit covers 0.5MB of output, so a file under 0.5MB costs one credit and a file from 0.5MB to under 1MB costs two. Because generated PDFs vary in size, the trial credit balance cannot be reliably converted into a number of URLs.
How API credits differ from request limits
For API use, credits, rate limits, concurrency, and execution time answer different questions:
Rank #2
- Credits: how much output size your allowance covers. The credit FAQ says credits reset at the start of the billing period; unused credits do not roll over.
- Rate limit: how many conversions are allowed per minute.
- Concurrency: how many conversions can run at once.
- Max delay: how long the service waits for asynchronous JavaScript. This is separate from the overall 60-second conversion time limit.
PDFCrowd defines these plan parameters in its plan-parameters FAQ. A credit balance is therefore not a request-per-minute quota, and neither figure is a source-page count.
Which PDFCrowd route fits your workflow?
| Need | Route | What to account for |
|---|---|---|
| Occasional manual conversion | Online converter | Free to use; no numeric page allowance is published. Output is branded and settings are reduced. |
| Automated or repeated conversion | PDFCrowd API or an integration such as WebSave, WordPress, Zapier, or Make | API and integration use credits; output size determines credit consumption, while rate and concurrency affect throughput. |
PDFCrowd’s homepage positions the online converter for one-off use and its API and integrations for automation. If a specific high-volume workflow depends on a hard free cap, the published pages do not establish one; confirm the current terms with PDFCrowd before relying on a particular volume.

Screenshot a page instead of converting it to a PDF
If your goal is a visual record rather than a text-searchable, multipage document, ScreenshotNeo is an alternative to try first: it returns website screenshots or PDFs from a single GET request, removes supported consent banners and overlays before capture, and bills only clean shots. It is not the same as PDFCrowd’s HTML-to-PDF conversion workflow.
Or skip the browser setup
For a visual capture as a WebP screenshot:
curl -G "https://api.screenshotneo.com/v1/shot" -d access_key=YOUR_API_KEY --data-urlencode url=https://stripe.com -o shot.webp
See the ScreenshotNeo API documentation for options, including PDF output. Cookie banners, popups, and chat widgets are removed before the shot; bot checks, blank pages, and failed loads are never billed. Its MCP server lets AI agents take screenshots. The free plan includes 1,000 screenshots a month with no card, and paid plans start at $5 for 3,000. Sign up for free ScreenshotNeo screenshots.

Can I convert several URLs in one PDFCrowd online conversion?
The reviewed online-converter information does not specify a multi-URL or batch-conversion allowance. It does not establish whether several URLs can be submitted together.
Does the 100-credit API trial mean I can convert 100 pages?
No. The 100-credit allowance applies to API output-size credits, not a fixed count of input webpages; the number of credits used depends on the generated PDF size.
