Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesOn Windows, Path of Titans stores its local data in %LOCALAPPDATA%PathOfTitansSaved (normally C:Users<username>AppDataLocalPathOfTitansSaved). Replay files are inside SavedDemos. A community-server world is different: there is no in-game “upload save” button. To move it, stop the old server, back up and transfer its save, configuration and player-data folders to the matching directories on the new host, then verify settings, mods and version compatibility before starting the server.
Which Path of Titans files are you trying to move?
The correct procedure depends on whether you mean a local replay or a community-server world. These are separate kinds of data and are handled differently.

| Data | Where it is handled | What you can do |
|---|---|---|
| Replay | Windows local folder: %LOCALAPPDATA%PathOfTitansSavedDemos |
Copy the replay file into the Demos folder on a compatible installation and play it locally. |
| Community-server world | The server machine or hosting account | Stop the server, transfer its save, configuration and player-data directories, and place them in the equivalent locations on the destination server. |
| Account or online progression | Not established as a downloadable Windows save in the published support instructions | Do not assume that copying the local folder exports every account-linked item or progression record. |
Alderon’s replay documentation says replays are stored on the device rather than on the player account. A server world is controlled by the server installation, so moving it requires access to the host’s files.

%LOCALAPPDATA%PathOfTitansSaved
Windows expands %LOCALAPPDATA% to your user profile’s local application-data directory. The equivalent full path is usually:
C:Users<username>AppDataLocalPathOfTitansSaved
The AppData directory may be hidden when you browse manually, which is why pasting the environment-variable path is usually faster. The folder name is PathOfTitans; keep the capitalization and spelling intact when navigating or documenting the location for support.
How to open the folder
- Exit Path of Titans completely. Do not copy or replace files while the game is running.
- Press Windows key+E to open File Explorer.
- Click the address bar, enter
%LOCALAPPDATA%PathOfTitansSaved, and press Enter. - Leave the folder structure unchanged unless a support article or your server host gives you a specific destination.
The public Alderon instructions identify the root and the replay directory, but they do not define one universal filename for every player’s local save. If you are asked to provide local data, preserving the relevant folder is safer than guessing which file is authoritative.
Where replay files are stored
Replay files are in:
%LOCALAPPDATA%PathOfTitansSavedDemos
Replays are local recordings. They are not uploaded to Alderon’s servers or automatically restored from your account. To use one on another Windows installation, close the game, copy the replay file into that installation’s SavedDemos directory, and start a compatible game build.
Moving a replay safely
- Close Path of Titans on the source computer.
- Open
%LOCALAPPDATA%PathOfTitansSavedDemos. - Copy the required replay file to a backup location first. Use a dated folder if you may need to restore it.
- Transfer a copy to the destination computer.
- On the destination computer, close the game and paste the file into its
%LOCALAPPDATA%PathOfTitansSavedDemosfolder. - Launch Path of Titans and check the replay list or replay controls.
Copy rather than cut until the destination has been tested. A replay may depend on a compatible game build; a file copied successfully is not proof that every version can open it.
Uploading a community-server world to a new host
“Upload my save” normally means migrating a community server. The practical operation is a folder migration, not an in-game export. You need administrative access to both the old server and the destination host, plus a way to transfer files.
What must be transferred
Make a complete, dated backup of the old server’s:
- server save or world directory;
- configuration files and directories;
- player-data directory;
- any additional files your host identifies as part of the Path of Titans server instance.
Do not rename files or flatten nested folders while uploading. The destination should reproduce the same relative directory structure so the server process can find its world and data.
Before you copy anything
- Announce maintenance to players and stop the old server cleanly.
- Wait until the process has exited before copying files. A live server can still be writing world or player data.
- Create a dated backup outside the active server directory. Keep the original untouched until the migration is confirmed.
- Record the old server’s relevant settings, enabled mods and game version so you can compare them after transfer.
Transfer with a host File Manager
Many managed hosts provide a browser-based File Manager. LOW.MS documents this method for Path of Titans servers:
- Open the destination server’s File Manager and locate the Path of Titans server directory supplied by the host.
- Upload the backed-up save, configuration and player-data folders to their corresponding destinations.
- If the destination created default files, merge only where the host’s instructions require it; do not overwrite a working installation blindly.
- Check that folder names, nesting and filenames match the source layout.
- Keep the backup available until players can connect and their expected world and characters are present.
Transfer with SFTP
SFTP is useful when the host supplies an SFTP endpoint and credentials. LOW.MS also documents SFTP for this workflow.

- Connect to the destination with an SFTP client using the host-provided server address, port, username and authentication method.
- Navigate to the Path of Titans server directory on the remote side.
- Upload the save, configuration and player-data directories, preserving their hierarchy.
- Allow large transfers to finish before closing the client. Compare the remote directory contents with the backup rather than relying only on a progress bar.
- Disconnect, then use the host control panel to start the server.
The exact remote root and permission model vary by provider. Use the host’s stated Path of Titans directory rather than assuming that the Windows local-data path applies to a Linux-based or managed server.
Check GameUserSettings.ini and mods
After uploading the folders, inspect GameUserSettings.ini. In particular, check the [PathOfTitans.Mods] section and its EnabledMods= entries.
LOW.MS explains that the server uses these entries to retrieve required mods from mod.io during startup. A missing, malformed or outdated entry can prevent a world from loading as expected even when the save files are present.
Configuration checklist
- Open the destination copy of
GameUserSettings.ini, not an unrelated local game file. - Confirm the
[PathOfTitans.Mods]section exists when the old server used mods. - Compare every
EnabledMods=entry with the old server’s configuration. - Check that the required mods are still available and that the server has network access to retrieve them.
- Save the file without changing unrelated settings.
Do not copy only the world and omit the configuration or player-data folders. That can produce a server that starts with default settings, fails to load mod-dependent content or appears to have lost player information.
Start-up and verification after migration
- Start the destination server after the files and configuration are in place.
- Watch the host console or available logs for path, permission, configuration and mod errors.
- Connect with an administrator account and verify that the expected world loads.
- Check a small sample of player data rather than assuming that a successful boot proves the migration is complete.
- Test the settings that matter to your community, including map or world behavior and enabled content.
- Keep the old server stopped but recoverable until the new instance has passed your agreed checks.
If the destination starts a fresh world, stop it before experimenting further. Starting with an empty or default directory can create new files that obscure the migrated data. Restore your backup or replace only the affected destination folders after confirming the correct paths with the host.

Version compatibility matters
Check the Path of Titans version before troubleshooting files. Alderon displays the version in the main menu and launcher and provides an update check. Update the game and server when the launcher or host indicates they are out of date.
A replay or server data set created for one build may not behave correctly with another. Version alignment should therefore be checked before changing filenames, permissions or configuration. Record the source and destination versions during a migration so a failed test has a clear comparison point.

The folder appears to be missing
- Paste
%LOCALAPPDATA%PathOfTitansSaveddirectly into File Explorer instead of browsing through hidden folders. - Confirm that you are signed into the Windows user profile that ran the game.
- Launch the game once, exit normally, and check the path again if the directory has not yet been created.
A replay does not appear
- Verify that the file is directly inside
SavedDemos, not an extra nested folder. - Make sure the game was closed when you copied the file.
- Check that the destination build is compatible and fully updated.
- Copy the original again if the transfer was interrupted, retaining the source backup.
The server starts but loads a new world
- Stop the server and confirm that the uploaded save is in the host’s actual Path of Titans server directory.
- Check for an extra directory level created by an upload operation.
- Verify that the destination process has permission to read and write the transferred folders.
- Confirm that the configuration points to the expected setup and that you did not leave the host’s newly generated default save in control.
Players or characters are missing
- Confirm that the player-data directory was transferred in addition to the world save.
- Check that its relative path and filenames were preserved.
- Compare the destination backup with the dated source backup before attempting another replacement.
Mods fail during boot
- Inspect
GameUserSettings.iniand the[PathOfTitans.Mods]section. - Compare the
EnabledMods=lines with the old server. - Confirm that the host can retrieve the required mods from mod.io.
- Look for a version mismatch between the server build and the installed mod content.
Players cannot connect after the move
- Check the server’s startup logs first for configuration, permission or mod errors.
- Confirm that the server is running the current compatible build.
- Verify the host’s address and connection settings separately from the data migration.
- Do not delete the backup while connection testing is incomplete.
Self-hosting or a managed provider?
Alderon recognizes both self-hosted and provider-hosted community servers. The save-migration concept is the same, but the operational responsibility differs.
For a managed Path of Titans community server, Godlike.Host provides a game panel with SFTP/FTP access, up to three free backups a day with restore, and built-in mod installation tools. Not on Alderon Games’ list of Path of Titans server providers (alderongames.com, 11 Oct 2026).

| Consideration | Self-hosting | Managed provider |
|---|---|---|
| File and settings control | Direct control of the machine, directories and configuration. | Control depends on the provider’s panel and permissions. |
| File transfer | You choose local tools and storage. | Usually a provider File Manager or SFTP endpoint. |
| Backups | You design, schedule and test them. | Tools may be supplied, but retention and restore behavior must be checked with the host. |
| Mods | You maintain configuration, downloads and compatibility. | The host supplies the environment, while you still need correct enabled-mod entries. |
| Hardware and network | You are responsible for capacity, uptime, firewall and connectivity. | The provider operates the underlying machine and network, subject to its service limits. |
| Support | Diagnosis is your responsibility. | The host can help with its panel, filesystem and service, but not necessarily with every game-data issue. |
Choose the arrangement that matches your need for file-level control and your willingness to maintain backups, updates and networking. In either case, keep an independent copy of important server data.

Console and mobile users
Do not apply the Windows path to a console or mobile installation. The published Alderon guidance identifies the Windows local-data location and replay behavior, but it does not provide a complete platform-specific save-export procedure for every console or mobile device.
For those platforms, check the current Alderon support guidance for the exact device and account situation. A community-server migration remains a server-side task: the server’s host files, rather than a console’s local storage, contain the world that must be transferred.
Backup plan for future moves
Make migration easier by treating the server data as an operational asset:
- Stop the server before every backup.
- Use dated backup folders and retain more than one known-good copy.
- Keep save, configuration and player-data directories together.
- Record the game build, enabled mods and destination path with each backup.
- Test restoring a backup to a non-production instance when your host allows it.
- Never overwrite the only working copy while troubleshooting.
For a personal Windows installation, back up the entire relevant Saved folder when support asks for local data, and separately preserve SavedDemos if replays matter. For a community server, follow the host’s directory and permission instructions rather than substituting the desktop game path.
