Panda also says shared preparation equipment and areas mean it cannot guarantee any item is free of major allergens or other ingredients that may cause a reaction.
How many calories are in a Panda Express plate?
There is no single calorie total for a Plate: the total depends on the selected base, entrees, add-ons, sauces, and drink. Panda’s homepage lists a “Get a Bowl, Plate, or Bigger Plate with a Medium Fountain Drink” bundle at 280–2,800 calories per serving. An official Los Angeles location page lists the same bundle label at 280–2,560 calories. These page-specific ranges illustrate why a bundle label is not a fixed calorie count; they should not be treated as universal totals for every location or selection.

What ingredients are in Panda Express food?
Ingredients differ by menu item, so consult the current item-level details on Panda Express’s Nutrition & Allergen Info page rather than assuming a shared ingredient list applies to the whole menu. Panda’s page states: “No MSG added, except for that naturally occurring in certain ingredients.”

Does Panda Express have allergen information?
Yes. Panda’s official nutrition table includes allergen information for menu items. The company says it uses ingredients containing all major FDA allergens: peanuts, tree nuts, eggs, fish, shellfish, milk, soy, wheat, and sesame. It also notes that other ingredients may cause reactions in some people. Consult the current table for the item you are considering, but treat it as ingredient information—not a promise about how that item was prepared.

Panda says food is prepared using shared cooking equipment, preparation areas, serving utensils, and storage areas, so allergens may be present in any item. It explicitly says it cannot guarantee a menu item is free of major FDA allergens or other reaction-triggering ingredients. Delivery can add cross-contact risks during handling and transportation. If you have a specific allergy concern, contact Panda Express at 800-877-8988 or use its contact page; contacting the company does not remove its stated limitation on guaranteeing allergen absence.

How to compare menu choices
Compare the components you will actually order rather than relying on a meal-format name. The official item-level table is the useful reference for published portions, calories, sodium, and listed allergens; confirm that the items are available at your location.

- Serving amount: Check the listed ounces or item count for each base, entree, and side.
- Calories and sodium: Use the entries for each selected component to build an estimate; a bundle’s displayed range is not a single meal total.
- Allergen information: Review each selected item’s listing, while accounting for the possibility of cross-contact from shared preparation.
- Availability: Regional, seasonal, test, limited-time, and location differences can affect the choices offered.
