Auto defrost offers three choices—small pieces, big piece, and bread/cake. Quick 30 starts a short heating interval. Panasonic also describes time entry in 30-second increments up to five minutes at high power. The store listing says that if you enter a cooking time and start without selecting a power level, the oven defaults to high power at 800 W.

What it can—and cannot—cook
This is a solo microwave, not a grill or combination model. Panasonic lists no grill, convection or combination function. It can heat and cook using microwave power, but it is not the right class of appliance for browning food or baking as a convection microwave would.

When comparing it with another microwave, consider more than litre capacity: check the cavity and turntable dimensions against your dishes, along with output, power controls, installation clearances and any grill, convection or inverter features you need. Cooking and ease-of-use test results can also help distinguish models, but the public evidence for this Panasonic does not establish those results.
Dimensions, tray and installation space
Panasonic lists external dimensions of 440 mm wide, 324 mm deep and 258 mm high, and a weight of 11 kg. The internal cooking dimensions are 306 × 308 × 214 mm. It comes with a 255 mm glass tray. These measurements help assess counter fit and dish clearance; capacity alone does not tell you whether a particular plate or container will fit.

CHOICE’s public listing rounds the external dimensions to 26 × 44 × 32 cm and shows a 24 cm turntable. It also advises leaving 15 cm above, 10 cm behind and 5 cm at each side, with a further caveat where one side is flush to a wall. See its listing for the Panasonic NN-ST23QMQPQ. Follow the model’s manual and local installation guidance; do not place a benchtop microwave in an enclosed cabinet unless the approved clearances permit it.

The QPQ suffix identifies the Australian-market listing covered here. Panasonic specifies 230–240 V / 50 Hz and an Australian-approved plug type, so buyers elsewhere should confirm power, plug and warranty compatibility rather than assume this variant is suitable in their country.
