PagePeeker has the lower published entry price for high-volume thumbnail use; Urlbox starts higher but offers more rendering options and a separate bulk-reporting product, CaptureDeck. For Indian agencies, the cheaper headline is not automatically the cheaper workflow: PagePeeker bills API calls, while Urlbox sells screenshot renders under plan-specific rules. The prices below are published USD list prices reviewed on October 3, 2026—not INR checkout totals or a hands-on quality comparison.
PagePeeker vs Urlbox: published monthly prices
| Service or plan | Published price | Allowance and notable details |
|---|---|---|
| PagePeeker Basic | $5.99/month | 100,000 API calls/month; thumbnails up to 480×360; vendor-listed typical rendering speed of 10–20 seconds; seven-day caching. |
| PagePeeker Advanced | $39.99/month | 1,000,000 API calls/month; thumbnails up to 480×360; vendor-listed typical rendering speed of 5–15 seconds; five-day caching. |
| PagePeeker Premium | Custom | No API-call limit shown; size and caching are customizable. Confirm inclusions and pricing with PagePeeker. |
| Urlbox Lo-Fi | $19/month | Up to 2,000 renders; positioned for sites you own and low-quality thumbnails of third-party sites. |
| Urlbox Hi-Fi | $49/month | Up to 5,000 renders. |
| Urlbox Ultra | $99/month | Up to 15,000 renders. |
| Urlbox Business | $498/month | Published as a $495 base plus $3 per 1,000 renders. |
| Urlbox Enterprise | From $3,000/month | Custom limits and features. |
PagePeeker’s public table also lists mobile/tablet screenshots, full-length screenshots and HTML-to-PDF as unavailable on Basic and Advanced. Premium pricing is custom, so do not assume those features are included without a quote. PagePeeker says educational institutions may request free premium thumbnails subject to its stated linking condition. PagePeeker pricing

PagePeeker counts API calls, not just new screenshots
PagePeeker’s FAQ says an API call can include displaying an already-created thumbnail, creating one when it is not cached, checking whether a thumbnail is available, and calls to an exposed API. Unused monthly calls do not roll over: PagePeeker says the monthly number is fixed. Premium users can ask about pay-as-you-go if they exceed 5 million API calls in a month. Estimate activity using those counting rules rather than treating 100,000 calls as 100,000 newly generated images. PagePeeker FAQ

PagePeeker marks API V2 as the current, recommended version; its original V1 API is discontinued and redirected to V2. Use the current PagePeeker API documentation when planning an integration.
Urlbox counts renders under separate cache and failure rules
Urlbox states failed requests are not charged. Render Links are cached for 30 days by default, and cached requests do not count against plan quota; renders generated through its REST API do count. Urlbox also says exceeding quota automatically upgrades the customer to the next tier, so agencies with variable workloads should account for that behavior in budgeting. Urlbox pricing
These rules mean that neither a simple price-per-call nor price-per-render calculation is enough. Forecast the events your application or reporting workflow will actually trigger, then check the applicable cache, failure and overage behavior on the vendor’s live terms.
Which one fits an Indian agency’s workflow?
Choose PagePeeker for inexpensive thumbnail volume
PagePeeker Basic or Advanced is a plausible first evaluation when the deliverable is a large volume of relatively small website thumbnails and the published allowance fits after counting availability checks and cached-thumbnail display. The public prices and call totals are attractive for that narrow use, but its listed Basic and Advanced limitations matter if the agency needs full-length or mobile/tablet captures.

Evaluate Urlbox when capture and integration needs are broader
Urlbox is worth comparing when a project needs broader third-party capture coverage, more rendering controls, or outputs beyond a thumbnail. Its Screenshot API documentation describes synchronous and asynchronous POST requests, polling or webhooks, and render links. Documented outputs include image formats, video, PDF, Markdown text, structured JSON/metadata and hydrated HTML. Select a plan only after matching those needs to its current feature matrix. Consider CaptureDeck for recurring client reports without an API build
CaptureDeck is a separate Urlbox product for bulk captures. Its product page describes converting a URL list into a PDF report, ZIP archive or CSV of screenshot links, scheduling recurring captures and detecting changes. Its pricing page lists plans with batch and monthly capture allowances, schedules, exports, user counts and retention features; check the live table for current limits and prices. It may be a better fit when the agency sells periodic visual audits or evidence reports rather than embedding screenshots in software. CaptureDeck product · CaptureDeck pricing
Try ScreenshotNeo first as the alternative
ScreenshotNeo is a website screenshot API and MCP server; it is a practical first alternative to assess because cookie banners, popups and chat widgets are removed before capture, and only clean shots are billed.

1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteHow to estimate cost before putting it in a client proposal
- Define the deliverable. List the number of client sites, capture frequency, required page length, viewport or device variants, and whether the output is a thumbnail, full-page image, PDF or scheduled report.
- Count the vendor’s billable unit. For PagePeeker, include the API events its FAQ counts, not just fresh captures. For Urlbox, separate REST API renders, Render Link cache hits and failed requests using its published rules.
- Match features to the specific plan. Check PagePeeker’s size and capture limitations, and Urlbox’s plan-specific feature matrix, third-party coverage and request limits. For CaptureDeck, compare batch size, monthly allowance, schedule frequency, export formats, users and retention.
- Test representative client pages. Use sites with the same kinds of navigation, cookie banners, dynamic content and access restrictions expected in production. The published vendor claims cited here are not independent capture tests.
- Confirm the India checkout amount. Prices above are in USD. The reviewed information does not establish an Indian account’s final INR amount, applicable Indian taxes, exchange-rate treatment or accepted payment methods. Urlbox’s terms say applicable fees, taxes and costs are disclosed during purchase before order submission. Verify checkout or ask sales before quoting a rupee commitment. Urlbox terms

- Comparing raw quotas as if they were the same unit: PagePeeker calls and Urlbox renders have different definitions and rules.
- Ignoring automatic tier changes: Urlbox says over-quota usage automatically upgrades to the next tier.
- Assuming a custom or higher plan includes a feature: obtain confirmation for PagePeeker Premium and consult Urlbox’s current plan matrix.
- Quoting the USD list price as an INR total: taxes and currency conversion can change the amount paid in India.
- Using vendor speed statements as a guarantee: PagePeeker’s listed rendering ranges are vendor-published typical figures, not independently measured results or a service commitment.

How much does Urlbox cost per screenshot?
Its published tiers begin at $19/month for up to 2,000 renders, but cached Render Links, REST API renders and failed requests have different quota treatment. Model the workflow rather than dividing price by the headline render limit.
Which website screenshot API is cheaper for an agency?
PagePeeker has the lower published entry price for high-volume thumbnails, but a direct per-unit comparison is misleading because it counts API calls while Urlbox sells renders under separate cache and failure rules.
