Which makes more sense depends on what matters to you—and the current price difference cannot be confirmed from the dated listings available here.

Which phone has the better display?
The M8x has the larger listed screen at 6.90 inches, compared with 6.67 inches on the K13. But the K13’s 1080 × 2400 AMOLED panel has substantially higher resolution than the M8x’s reported 720 × 1600 LCD. Both are listed at 120Hz; that refresh rate does not make their resolution or panel technology equivalent.

Chip names and memory figures alone do not establish real-world speed, gaming performance or sustained heat behavior. OPPO’s launch announcement said the K13 would receive two years of OS updates and three years of security updates. Third-party M8x listings report Android 16 with Hype and four years of OS updates plus six years of security updates, but that support promise was not verified on an official POCO page. Treat the M8x version and update-duration claims as unconfirmed unless POCO confirms them for the specific model and region.

Price difference in India: dated figures, not live quotes
The available figures come from different dates and are not a same-retailer, same-day price check. They should not be treated as current prices or compared as if the phones launched at the same time.
| Phone and variant | Price evidence | How to read it |
|---|---|---|
| OPPO K13, 8GB/128GB | ₹17,999 launch price, announced by OPPO in April 2025 | Historical launch price; OPPO also described a launch-day ₹1,000 discount or exchange bonus subject to terms. |
| OPPO K13, 8GB/256GB | ₹19,999 launch price, announced by OPPO in April 2025 | Historical launch price, not a verified current listing. |
| POCO M8x, 4GB/128GB | ₹20,999 launch price, reported by Gadgets360 for its August 2026 India launch | Gadgets360 later listed ₹20,999 on 11 September 2026; this is a dated snapshot, not a live quote. |
| POCO M8x, 6GB/128GB | ₹22,999 launch price, reported by Gadgets360 for its August 2026 India launch | Historical launch price; the report noted an initial sale offer affecting the effective price. |
Smartprix showed ₹20,999 for the M8x and ₹21,999 for the K13 in a comparison updated on 30 August 2026. That is another dated snapshot and does not resolve today’s price gap. To compare current offers, check the same retailer on the same date and match RAM and storage variants; keep list price, bank discounts, exchange bonuses and effective price separate.
OPPO’s original prices and launch offer are in its 21 April 2025 launch announcement. Gadgets360 reported the M8x launch and its pricing on 21 August 2026; its comparison listing supplies the dated M8x price snapshot.
Which one should you buy?
Choose the OPPO K13 5G if
- You want the sharper FHD+ AMOLED display rather than a larger, lower-resolution LCD.
- You want 8GB RAM configurations or the option of 256GB storage.
- You value the higher listed charging wattage and a higher-resolution selfie camera.
- You prefer the lighter phone or the stronger listed IP rating.
Consider the POCO M8x 5G if
- You prioritize a larger display and the higher listed battery capacity.
- You are comfortable with the reported HD+ LCD and the 4GB or 6GB RAM configurations.
- You can confirm the current price and software-support details for the exact M8x variant with the seller or POCO.
Neither specification sheet establishes better battery life, gaming performance, thermals or camera results. For those, seek independent tests of the exact retail models rather than inferring performance from capacity, processor names or megapixels.
