1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFor a 24/7 YouTube playlist managed by OneStream Live, prepare source videos in MP4, MOV, or M4V at 1080p, 30 fps, using H.264 video and AAC audio. OneStream recommends 1,500–6,000 Kbps video and 128 Kbps audio; this is guidance for the uploaded source file, not YouTube’s separate bitrate target for a live encoder. OneStream’s documented 24/7 feature is for YouTube, requires Enterprise, and allows scheduling for up to 30 days.
First distinguish the uploaded video from a live encoder feed
OneStream’s 24/7 workflow plays stored videos that you select and schedule through its service. YouTube’s encoder settings, by contrast, apply when an encoder sends a live feed directly to YouTube. Those are different stages, so their bitrate recommendations are not contradictory and should not be substituted for one another.

- OneStream source video: prepare the file according to OneStream’s recommended video settings.
- Direct encoder ingest: if you use an encoder to send a live feed to YouTube, follow YouTube’s encoder profile for the chosen resolution, frame rate, and codec.
OneStream’s general video guide does not specify a separate bitrate profile just for its 24/7 feature. Its file guidance is therefore the applicable published source-video recommendation, not a special 24/7-only setting. OneStream’s recommended video settings

Recommended settings for a OneStream 24/7 source video
| Setting | OneStream source-video guidance |
|---|---|
| Container | MP4, MOV, or M4V |
| Resolution | 1920 × 1080 (1080p) |
| Frame rate | 30 fps |
| Video codec | H.264 |
| Video bitrate | 1,500–6,000 Kbps |
| Audio codec | AAC |
| Audio bitrate | 128 Kbps |
OneStream says videos should be at least one minute long for the best streaming experience. The recommendations are not a promise of a particular picture quality or uninterrupted playback; file content, platform processing, and delivery conditions still matter.

What bitrate should I use for a 1080p YouTube live stream?
If you are sending a live feed from an encoder directly to YouTube using H.264 at 1080p30, YouTube recommends 10 Mbps (10,000 Kbps). That number is for YouTube’s live encoder ingest, not a requirement to upload a OneStream source file at 10 Mbps. YouTube’s current H.264 guidance lists these recommended bitrates by output mode:
| Resolution and frame rate | YouTube H.264 encoder recommendation |
|---|---|
| 720p30 | 4 Mbps |
| 720p60 | 6 Mbps |
| 1080p30 | 10 Mbps |
| 1080p60 | 12 Mbps |
| 1440p30 | 15 Mbps |
| 1440p60 | 24 Mbps |
| 2160p30 | 30 Mbps |
| 2160p60 | 35 Mbps |
YouTube’s AV1 and H.265/HEVC live encoder table uses minimum-to-maximum ranges rather than the same H.264 recommended column:

| 1080p30 | 3–8 Mbps |
| 1080p60 | 4–10 Mbps |
| 1440p30 | 5–25 Mbps |
| 1440p60 | 6–30 Mbps |
| 2160p30 | 8–35 Mbps |

Does OneStream Live support 24/7 YouTube streaming?
OneStream’s help guide documents a 24-hour Stream workflow for YouTube destinations. It requires an Enterprise plan and lets you schedule a broadcast for up to 30 days. The workflow uses videos selected from your device, OneStream storage, or supported cloud storage. See OneStream’s 24/7 streaming setup guide for its current account and scheduling details.

- Broadcom BCM2711, Quad core Cortex-A72 (ARM v8) 64-bit SoC @ 1.5GHz
- 1GB, 2GB, 4GB or 8GB LPDDR4-3200 SDRAM (depending on model)
- 2.4 GHz and 5.0 GHz IEEE 802.11ac wireless, Bluetooth 5.0, BLE Gigabit Ethernet
- 2 USB 3.0 ports; 2 USB 2.0 ports.
- Raspberry Pi standard 40 pin GPIO header (fully backwards compatible with previous boards)
Set up the playlist in OneStream
- In OneStream, choose 24-hour Stream.
- Add the videos you want to play from your device, OneStream storage, or supported cloud storage.
- Connect the YouTube channel and enter the stream details requested in the workflow.
- Choose an immediate or scheduled start, then set the duration in days, up to the documented 30-day maximum.
- Schedule the broadcast and check the resulting stream in YouTube.
Exact labels and available options can change; use OneStream’s current in-product prompts if they differ from this guide. The 30-day figure is the maximum stated in OneStream’s cited help article, not a claim about an indefinite schedule.
Which resolution is best for 24/7 playback?
For OneStream’s uploaded-video workflow, 1080p at 30 fps is the documented general recommendation. Higher resolution is not automatically a better operational choice: the source must be suitable, and any direct encoder workflow also depends on a connection that can sustain its target bitrate with spare capacity.

YouTube says it transcodes incoming live streams into formats suited to different devices and network conditions. That does not remove the need to provide a stable feed when using a local encoder. For direct encoder streaming, YouTube recommends testing with representative motion and audio, watching stream health and messages while live, and leaving 20% upload-bandwidth headroom. A reliable connection and headroom reduce avoidable congestion risk but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. See YouTube’s encoder settings guide and streaming tips.

Direct encoder settings that do not automatically apply to OneStream uploads
When an encoder sends video directly to YouTube, YouTube’s current guidance supports RTMP or RTMPS transport; H.264, H.265/HEVC, or AV1 video; up to 60 fps; and constant bitrate (CBR). YouTube recommends a 2-second keyframe interval and says it should not exceed 4 seconds. It recommends RTMPS for encrypted transport. Supported audio codecs include AAC and MP3, with 128 Kbps stereo audio guidance.

These are live-ingest settings, not instructions to re-encode a file simply because it will be uploaded to OneStream. For OneStream’s stored-video path, start with the source-video settings above and its own workflow. For direct encoder details, consult YouTube’s current settings table.
Troubleshoot the common settings and playback problems
- The file looks poor or does not match the target format: check the exported file’s container, 1920 × 1080 resolution, 30 fps, H.264 video, AAC audio, and the applicable OneStream bitrate guidance.
- A direct encoder stream buffers or loses health: verify that the connection can sustain the encoder’s bitrate, reduce the output mode if it cannot, use a reliable network, and retain YouTube’s recommended 20% upload headroom.
- Keyframe or bitrate settings are unclear: apply YouTube’s CBR and keyframe guidance only to a direct encoder feed. Do not treat those ingest requirements as a separate OneStream source-file profile.
- The 24/7 option or scheduling period is unavailable: check that the account meets OneStream’s Enterprise requirement and that the destination is YouTube; its cited guide states a maximum schedule of 30 days.
- The stream starts but the wrong video or details appear: review the selected playlist, YouTube channel, stream details, start choice, and scheduled duration in the OneStream workflow and YouTube.
Or let it run in the cloud
If your goal is an always-on YouTube stream from uploaded videos, StreamNeo is another cloud option: upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. The cloud loops the uploaded videos, so a computer and home connection do not have to stay on. Every slot streams the upload as made, up to 4K 60fps, at one flat price per slot; there are no quality tiers or re-encoding. StreamNeo automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card, one free day per account. Monthly pricing is $9.99 per month.
