Both OneStream Live and Restream support scheduled streams made from prerecorded video playlists. Restream publishes specific playlist limits and prices; OneStream Live’s free plan excludes playlists, and the reviewed OneStream sources do not state a comparable current paid-plan price. For a scheduled playlist, compare the published capacity and cost against your needs. For a continuous 24/7 YouTube loop, treat OneStream’s separate Enterprise-only feature as a different use case.
OneStream Live vs Restream: the practical differences
| What to compare | Restream | OneStream Live |

Paid playlist access and a comparable current price are not stated in the reviewed OneStream sources. |

Media: 12-hour video library and up to 4K, per Restream’s July 25, 2026 article. | The Free plan allows prerecorded streams up to 15 minutes, up to 720p, and 1 GB of uploaded-video storage, per OneStream Live’s page last updated August 24, 2026. Which service fits your playlist?
Choose Restream when its published limits match your plan
Restream is easier to evaluate if you need a defined playlist capacity and published tier price. Its Marathon tier is listed with a four-hour library and 1080p maximum; Media is listed with a 12-hour library and up to 4K. Both tiers allow a playlist of up to 40 videos and 24 hours total. Check the current Restream page before subscribing, since these plan details can change.
Consider OneStream Live if you need its workflow or a separate 24/7 feature
OneStream documents queuing prerecorded videos in sequence and scheduling them as a stream. Its Free plan is not an option for playlists. For a continuous YouTube loop, OneStream documents a separate Enterprise feature, rather than treating an ordinary scheduled playlist as an unlimited 24/7 stream. The reviewed sources do not provide enough paid-plan pricing or capacity information to make a like-for-like cost comparison with Restream.

Keep scheduled playlists distinct from continuous streaming
A playlist can be a one-off broadcast or a scheduled series. That is different from keeping a channel live continuously by looping video. If you need the latter, confirm that the service and plan explicitly support continuous playback; OneStream’s documented 24/7 feature is YouTube-only and Enterprise-gated.
Set up YouTube before scheduling
Restream’s YouTube setup guidance, published July 9, 2026, identifies several prerequisites to check before creating an event:
Rank #2
- 【1080P HD High Quality】Capture resolution up to 1080p for video source and it is ideal for all HDMI devices such as PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Wii U, DVDs, DSLR, Camera, Security Camera and set top box. Note: Video input supports 4K30/60Hz and 1080p120/144Hz. Does not support 4K120Hz/144Hz. Output supports up to 2K30Hz.
- 【Plug and Play】No driver or external power supply required, true PnP. Once plugged in, the device is identified automatically as a webcam. Detect input and adjust output automatically. Won't occupy CPU, optional audio capture. No freeze with correct setting.
- 【Compatible with Multiple Systems】suitable for Windows and Mac OS. High speed USB 3.0 technology and superior low latency technology makes it easier for you to transmit live streaming to Twitch, Youtube, Facebook, Twitter, OBS, Potplayer and VLC.
- 【HDMI LOOP-OUT】Based on the high-speed USB 3.0 technology, it can capture one single channel HD HDMI video signal. There is no delay when you are playing game live.
- 【Support Mic-in for Commentary】Rybozen capture card has microphone input and you can use it to add external commentary when playing a game. Please note: it only accepts 3.5mm TRS standard microphone headset.
- Enable YouTube live streaming. A channel that has never streamed live may need phone-number verification and a 24-hour wait, according to Restream’s setup page.
- Connect the channel owner’s account. Restream says the connected account must own the YouTube channel; a manager or editor account is not sufficient for this connection.
- Choose the event method. Restream’s YouTube event options include Studio, RTMP, Video File, and Playlist. Select Playlist for the prerecorded playlist workflow.
- Distinguish streaming from archiving. Restream’s setup page says YouTube has no stream-duration limit but archives streams under 12 hours. The under-12-hour note concerns archiving, not a stated maximum live duration.
Build and schedule a playlist in Restream
Restream’s July 25, 2026 playlist article describes arranging uploaded videos into a scheduled live series. The exact interface may change, so use the current labels shown in your account.

- Add and order the uploaded videos. Keep the playlist within the documented maximum of 40 videos and 24 hours total.
- Review the library and resolution limits for your tier. Marathon is listed with a four-hour library and up to 1080p; Media with a 12-hour library and up to 4K.
- Schedule the playlist. Verify the selected YouTube destination and start time before confirming.
- Make edits before it goes live. Restream says videos can be added, removed, or rearranged only before playback starts. During playback, the article says only graphics and chat can be edited.
What OneStream’s documented workflows establish
OneStream describes playlist streaming as queuing multiple videos in a chosen sequence for scheduled prerecorded delivery. Its free tier cannot create or stream playlists, and its 24/7 YouTube loop is a separate Enterprise capability. The 24/7 setup article describes selecting videos from a device, OneStream storage, or connected cloud storage, choosing YouTube as the destination, and scheduling the broadcast. The documented maximum scheduled duration for that feature is 30 days.

Before broadcasting prerecorded material, make sure you have the necessary rights to every video, audio track, and other included asset. A video that can be uploaded is not automatically cleared for livestreaming. Review YouTube’s applicable copyright and monetization rules for your channel and content; neither playlist scheduling nor a continuous loop changes those obligations.

Quick Recap
How to decide
- Pick Restream for a scheduled playlist if its published video count, total duration, library allowance, resolution, and price suit the channel’s needs.
- Evaluate OneStream Live if its workflow is a better fit, but confirm paid playlist access, current price, and any capacity limits directly with OneStream; the reviewed sources do not establish those comparable details.
- For continuous 24/7 looping, compare services specifically on always-on operation and verify plan eligibility. OneStream’s documented option requires Enterprise and is limited to YouTube.
