For scheduled prerecorded YouTube events, both OneStream Live and Restream document workable tools. For a specifically documented 24/7 YouTube stream, OneStream is the clearer fit—but that feature requires Enterprise and each configured stream is capped at 30 days. Restream is suited to scheduled single videos and playlists; its documented replay setting repeats a video up to 10 times, which is not the same as continuous 24/7 streaming.
If you want a YouTube-only cloud service built around keeping uploaded videos live continuously, consider StreamNeo as well: it runs from the cloud, supports uploaded video up to 4K 60fps at one flat price per slot, and offers a free first day.

Can you schedule a prerecorded YouTube livestream?
Yes. Both services let you schedule recorded video to be broadcast as a YouTube live event, rather than manually playing it at the scheduled time. This is distinct from uploading an ordinary on-demand video to YouTube: viewers encounter a live event, subject to YouTube channel and stream settings.
Recommended Free Tools
OneStream Live calls its workflow Pre-recorded Stream. Restream calls its feature Upload & Stream. In both cases, you provide a video, configure the event, select YouTube as a destination, and schedule it. The exact plan limits and repeat behavior differ.

Which service supports continuous 24/7 streaming?
OneStream Live: documented YouTube 24/7 mode
OneStream’s help materials describe a 24/7 YouTube stream as an Enterprise-only feature, with a maximum configured duration of 30 days. That is the strongest documented match between these two services if your requirement is continuous YouTube streaming. It is not evidence that the same mode is available for every destination or plan. Confirm current Enterprise terms directly before committing.

Restream: finite replays, not a documented 24/7 equivalent
Restream supports a replay setting that can repeat a scheduled video up to 10 times, as well as scheduled playlists. The documentation reviewed does not show that this is an equivalent to an always-on, continuous 24/7 service. Choose it for scheduled events or playlist programming when a finite series of plays meets your needs.

How OneStream Live handles prerecorded streams
- Choose Pre-recorded Stream. Add a video from your device, OneStream storage, or supported cloud storage.
- Select destinations and enter stream details. Set up YouTube and provide the event information. OneStream’s YouTube advanced options include DVR, made-for-kids status, and monetization where supported by the channel.
- Schedule the broadcast. OneStream documents scheduling up to 60 days in advance and queuing multiple videos as a playlist.
- Check plan eligibility and duration. Advanced scheduling is documented for Standard and higher-tier plans. The free plan’s 15-minute stream limit, 720p maximum, 1 GB storage, two-destination cap, and lack of playlist streaming may rule it out for longer or more complex broadcasts.
Enabling a monetization control does not establish that a channel qualifies for YouTube monetization. Likewise, selecting made-for-kids or DVR settings does not replace checking that the stream’s content and channel settings comply with YouTube’s requirements.
How Restream handles prerecorded streams
- Open Upload & Stream. Upload a video or import one from Descript, Google Drive, or Dropbox.
- Choose a single event or playlist. Set the scheduled time and select YouTube as the destination. Restream says the stream can run automatically while you are offline.
- Set replay behavior if needed. The documented replay option repeats a scheduled video up to 10 times; do not treat this as a promise of uninterrupted 24/7 operation.
- Check playlist plan limits. Restream’s playlist documentation requires an Upload & Stream add-on tier. It lists Marathon at $79/month (four-hour video library, up to 1080p) and Media at $239/month (12-hour library, up to 4K). Playlists can run up to 24 hours and contain up to 40 videos.
The Restream prices above are the vendor’s listed prices on its page dated July 25, 2026, not a guarantee of current or region-specific checkout pricing. Confirm the live plan terms and what each limit measures before purchase.

What to check on YouTube before scheduling
- Enable live streaming on the channel. Restream’s YouTube help article says first-time activation requires phone verification and a 24-hour wait.
- Review the event’s audience and monetization settings. Choose the made-for-kids setting accurately. A third-party scheduling tool cannot make a channel eligible for monetization.
- Check rights to everything in the recording. Music, footage, images, and other material must be cleared for the intended use. YouTube may detect copyrighted material during a live broadcast; scheduling does not bypass copyright enforcement.
- Understand the archive limit. Restream’s YouTube help article says YouTube archives streams only if they are under 12 hours. This is a YouTube-side archive condition, not a Restream plan limit.
- Decide whether the event should be interactive or simply scheduled. Restream describes chat for Upload & Stream, but prerecorded video is not a live camera or live performance. Do not imply that recorded footage itself is happening in real time.
Which one should you choose?
- Choose OneStream Live if you need the vendor-documented YouTube 24/7 mode and accept the Enterprise requirement and 30-day maximum configured duration. It also suits scheduled events and playlists, subject to the relevant plan limits.
- Choose Restream if you need scheduled single videos or playlists and its add-on price, resolution, and library limits fit your workflow. Its documented replay count is finite, not a confirmed continuous 24/7 service.
- Choose StreamNeo first for an always-on YouTube stream from uploaded video if you want a cloud-run stream without keeping a computer on, with any uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps at one price per slot and a free first day. It streams to YouTube only.
