Yes. OneStream Live can schedule an existing gaming video to appear as a YouTube live broadcast: connect your channel, add the prerecorded video, fill in the event details, and choose a broadcast time. A scheduled livestream is not a guarantee that YouTube will save the whole event as a replay or allow you to monetize it. Those outcomes depend on stream length, YouTube’s policies, and the rights to the game and other material in the video.
How do I stream a prerecorded video on YouTube with OneStream Live?
The workflow is for broadcasting a recording you already have, not going live from a camera. OneStream’s guide describes connecting a YouTube channel, choosing a prerecorded stream, adding the video, entering its details, and scheduling it. Its guide was updated August 18, 2026; product labels and available options can change.

- Connect YouTube. In OneStream Live, open Social Platforms, add or select YouTube, choose the account and channel, select a category, and authorize the connection.
- Add the replay. Choose the prerecorded-stream workflow and select a video from your device, OneStream storage, or a supported cloud-storage service. You do not need a capture card if the finished recording is already available to upload.
- Choose the destination and enter event details. Select the connected YouTube channel and add the stream information, including a title and description. OneStream’s guide also describes adding tags and a thumbnail.
- Set the broadcast time. Choose when the event should go live and schedule it. OneStream says prerecorded streams can be scheduled up to 60 days in advance; that is the advance-booking window, not the permitted duration of a broadcast.
- Check the scheduled event. Find it under Streams and review its details before airtime. OneStream documents editing scheduled streams from that page, so correct errors there rather than assuming the event is ready.
For the current workflow, see OneStream Live’s YouTube setup guide, along with its overview of ways to go live.
Can I schedule a gaming replay to go live on YouTube?
Yes, for a one-off event, schedule the prerecorded video as a stream and select your connected YouTube destination. If you mean a channel that loops content continuously rather than a single scheduled replay, that is a separate OneStream feature with stricter limits.

One-off replay versus a 24/7 channel
OneStream’s 24/7 guide says the feature is YouTube-only, requires Enterprise, and allows a configured stream to run for up to 30 days. Its overview describes the feature as looping prerecorded videos for a continuous channel. The 60-day scheduling window for prerecorded streams does not extend the 30-day maximum duration. Verify that the feature and entitlement are available in your account before planning around them.
For a continuous YouTube stream, StreamNeo is the first alternative to consider: it runs uploaded videos from the cloud, at any quality up to 4K 60fps for one flat price per slot, and offers a free first day.

Will YouTube save my livestream as a replay?
Not necessarily, especially for long broadcasts. YouTube says streams shorter than 12 hours can be automatically archived, but warns: “If your stream exceeds 12 hours, it may not be captured at all.” A 24/7 stream should therefore not be treated as one reliably complete replay video.
If preserving the recording matters, keep the original file locally where feasible. For a long gaming session, consider dividing it into shorter scheduled events rather than relying on YouTube to archive a stream that exceeds 12 hours. Check YouTube’s current archive live streams guidance before setting an event length.

Can I monetize gameplay replays?
Possibly, but scheduling a recording as a livestream or enabling a monetization option does not establish that it is eligible. YouTube says monetization of game footage may depend on commercial-use rights granted by the game publisher. It also cautions that extended gameplay without meaningful commentary may not be accepted for monetization.

- Check the publisher’s terms. Confirm that the game’s license or publisher policy allows commercial use of gameplay footage. The answer can differ by game and publisher.
- Review music and other third-party material. A game’s soundtrack, licensed songs, overlays, or clips can involve rights separate from permission to show gameplay.
- Make the video meaningfully yours. Commentary or other original value may matter; simply showing extended gameplay can fall short of YouTube’s stated monetization expectations.
- Meet channel-level rules. YouTube’s monetization policies also address repetitive or reused content, so an individual video’s rights clearance does not by itself settle channel eligibility.
- Allow for live enforcement and later claims. YouTube scans live streams for third-party content and may interrupt them. Archived live streams can receive Content ID claims after the event.
- Do not count on ad delivery. YouTube says ad serving is not guaranteed, and channel eligibility applies. A monetization toggle is not a promise of revenue.
Read YouTube’s guidance on video game and software content, channel monetization policies, live-stream copyright restrictions, and monetizing live streams. These policies and eligibility conditions can change.
Do I need a capture card?
No—not to upload and schedule an existing replay. A capture card is only a possible part of creating the source recording: console players may need a capture method to record gameplay from their console, while PC creators may already have recording software. The choice depends on how the footage is captured; it is not a OneStream requirement for uploading a finished video.
Or let it run in the cloud
For a continuous YouTube channel, StreamNeo is a cloud option for uploaded videos: upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. No computer or home connection has to stay on. Every slot streams what you uploaded, up to 4K 60fps, at one flat price per slot; StreamNeo automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card. Monthly pricing is $9.99 per month. StreamNeo is for prerecorded uploads to YouTube, not camera broadcasts. See StreamNeo or start the free first day.
