OnePlus lists the 13R, 12R, and 11R 5G as compatible with OxygenOS 16, but compatibility does not mean the update has reached every phone. The 13R has a dedicated 2× telephoto camera, while charging speeds and adapter requirements vary by model and region. Here is what OnePlus’s published specifications establish—and what they do not.
Which OnePlus R-series phones are compatible with OxygenOS 16?
OnePlus’s OxygenOS 16 compatibility page lists the OnePlus 13R, OnePlus 12R, and OnePlus 11R 5G. That is a compatibility list, not confirmation that every regional version has already received the update over the air.

OnePlus says the rollout happens in batches and timing can vary by model, country, and carrier. For carrier-exclusive models, the carrier determines timing. Check the update screen on your own phone for availability; the published compatibility information does not give a single arrival date for every regional model.
How many Android and security updates does each R-series phone get?
Do not treat the 12R’s update pledge as a promise for the entire R series. OnePlus’s US 12R specifications promise at least three generations of Android OS upgrades and four years of security updates from launch. That is the model-specific commitment established here; it does not establish the same term for the 11R or 13R.

OnePlus’s general security update policy says smartphones and tablets receive security updates for a minimum of three years following launch, while noting delivery timing can vary by region and model. For the 12R, use its explicit four-year statement rather than substituting the shorter category minimum. The exact end date depends on the relevant launch date and regional policy details.
Does the OnePlus 13R have a telephoto camera?
Yes. OnePlus’s UK 13R specifications list three rear cameras: a 50MP main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), a 50MP telephoto camera with 2× optical zoom, and an 8MP ultrawide. The US 13R product page also lists a 50MP main, 50MP telephoto, and 8MP ultrawide, and describes 4× “optical quality” zoom. That wording is not the same as 4× optical zoom.

- Telephoto: provides tighter framing at 2× optical zoom, useful for subjects farther away or portrait framing.
- Ultrawide: captures a broader view, such as a group or landscape.
The listed megapixels and camera roles describe hardware, not a measured image-quality ranking. They do not by themselves establish low-light performance or prove that one R-series generation takes better photos than another.
Why do OnePlus 13R charging specifications say 55W or 80W?
The figures come from different regional OnePlus pages. The UK 13R specifications list 80W SUPERVOOC; the US product page lists 55W SUPERVOOC and says up to 80W is possible with specified OnePlus 80W or 100W dual-port adapters. Use the specification for the region and model you are buying rather than assuming one wattage applies everywhere.
The 12R has a separate regional qualification. OnePlus’s US 12R product page describes 80W SUPERVOOC, noting that the phone supports 100W SUPERVOOC but may reach only 80W in 110V low-voltage areas, including North America. Actual power can vary with conditions. These 12R details should not be applied to the 13R.

OnePlus’s 12R product page reports 31 minutes to charge from 1% to 100% in a OnePlus Test Laboratory test dated December 12, 2023. The test used an official SUPERVOOC adapter, kept the screen off throughout, and began at an ambient and initial phone temperature of 25°C ± 1°C. OnePlus cautions that real charging results depend on conditions. Treat the figure as a controlled manufacturer test, not a guaranteed everyday charge time.

These are manufacturer capacity figures, not a runtime comparison. Battery life also depends on usage, settings, network conditions, and other factors; capacity alone cannot show how long a phone will last between charges.
