What the display and chipset figures tell you
Refresh rate is only one part of the screen
The reported 15R refresh rate is 165Hz, compared with TECNO’s official 144Hz. The difference describes how often a display can refresh; it does not by itself establish brightness, color accuracy, outdoor readability, or which screen looks better. TECNO also publishes resolution and glass protection, while the available 15R comparison details do not provide equivalent figures.

Chipset names are not performance test results
OnePlus identifies the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, and TECNO lists the Dimensity 7400 Ultimate 5G. These are useful platform identifiers, but the available information does not include a comparable benchmark protocol or independent sustained-performance test. It therefore cannot establish a winner for gaming, heat, or long sessions under load.
Camera configurations and battery
The listed rear-camera setups are 50MP plus 8MP on both phones, though TECNO specifically identifies optical image stabilisation on its 50MP camera. The reported OnePlus front camera is 32MP and TECNO’s is 13MP. Megapixel counts and camera configuration do not establish photo or video quality; no controlled image comparison is available here.
TECNO publishes a 6500mAh capacity and 45W charging rate. Those are specification figures, not a measured runtime or proof of how quickly the phone charges in every condition. The available official OnePlus page does not establish matching battery and charging figures, so a head-to-head endurance verdict would be unsupported.

Reported India price difference
91mobiles reports an India listing of ₹59,999 for the OnePlus 15R at Amazon and ₹49,999 for the TECNO POVA 8 Pro 5G at Flipkart. Subtracting the reported figures gives a ₹10,000 difference. This is a snapshot of listings at different retailers, not an official launch-price comparison or guaranteed checkout price.
The comparison does not establish that the two listings have matching RAM and storage configurations, discounts, or stock status. Before deciding on value, check live Indian listings for the same memory tier and compare the final prices after any offers.
Quick Recap
Which phone makes more sense for you?
- Choose based on the reported price only after checking the SKU: the ₹10,000 gap is meaningful only if the configurations and current offers are comparable.
- Prioritise the listed refresh-rate figure: the 15R is listed at 165Hz versus TECNO’s 144Hz, but that does not prove a better overall display.
- Look for published battery details: TECNO specifies 6500mAh and 45W charging; the available OnePlus source does not provide a comparable figure.
- Do not infer camera or gaming results from specs alone: the configuration data does not substitute for controlled photo, video, or sustained-performance testing.
- Confirm software and regional support: the reported software versions do not establish an update-duration advantage for either phone.
