The OnePlus 15 is the stronger on-paper choice for camera versatility and top-tier processing, while the TECNO POVA 8 Pro 5G pairs a large battery and high-refresh AMOLED display with a different, lower-tier platform. A fair price comparison depends on country and exact configuration: the OnePlus has clearly listed US prices, but the cited POVA prices are third-party India listing snapshots whose variants are unclear.

Processing power and software
On the published platform specifications, OnePlus positions the OnePlus 15 higher: it uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, while TECNO lists the Dimensity 7400 Ultimate 5G in the POVA 8 Pro. That difference supports calling OnePlus the higher-tier option on paper; it does not establish a particular speed advantage in apps or games. Both manufacturers list Android 16-based software, with OxygenOS 16 on OnePlus and HiOS 16 on TECNO.

Display
Both phones have a 6.78-inch screen. TECNO specifies a 1.5K-class 2644 × 1208, 144Hz AMOLED panel. OnePlus lists 2772 × 1272 resolution and adaptive refresh from 1Hz to 120Hz, with a maximum of 165Hz in gaming. The higher gaming ceiling is not a general refresh rate, nor does it alone prove better display quality. Panel quality and how supported games use the available refresh rates require testing.
Camera hardware
The clearest hardware distinction is the OnePlus 15’s dedicated 50MP telephoto camera with 3.5× optical zoom. Its other rear cameras are a 50MP OIS main camera and a 50MP ultra-wide. The POVA 8 Pro’s cited specification page lists a 50MP OIS main camera and an 8MP ultra-wide, without a dedicated telephoto camera in that list. OnePlus also lists a 32MP front camera to TECNO’s 13MP. Megapixel counts and lens specifications do not by themselves determine photo quality.
Battery, charging, and durability
OnePlus lists a 7,300mAh battery with 80W wired and 50W wireless charging; TECNO lists 6,500mAh and 45W wired charging. These are manufacturer ratings, not comparable independent endurance or charge-time measurements. Battery life will depend on use and other conditions, so capacity alone cannot establish which phone lasts longer.
Both brands list IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings for their respective phones. These are manufacturer-listed ratings; confirm the terms that apply to your exact regional model and warranty. A rating should not be treated as a promise that water damage is covered.

There is no single verified global price gap in the available listings. The OnePlus prices below are separate regional references; the TECNO figures are third-party India listing entries with unclear configurations. They are not a like-for-like checkout comparison.
| Market or listing | Published price | What it establishes |
|---|---|---|
| OnePlus US store | $899.99 for 12GB/256GB; $999.99 for 16GB/512GB | Official US store prices displayed on the OnePlus product page at the time represented by that page; confirm current checkout price. |
| OnePlus India store | ₹85,999 minimum fixed price | Separate India listing on OnePlus India; not comparable directly with the US prices. |
| TECNO POVA 8 Pro entries on 91mobiles | ₹49,999 and ₹47,999 | 91mobiles’ comparison page shows two entries, but the available listing does not make clear which exact variants account for each price. These are listing snapshots, not a confirmed official TECNO India retail price. |
Subtracting ₹49,999 from ₹85,999 gives a ₹36,000 difference, but only as a snapshot between those displayed India figures. Because the POVA variant and like-for-like availability are not established, do not treat ₹36,000 as a verified price premium. Check seller, storage and RAM configuration, and checkout price before comparing.
Which one should you choose?
- Choose the OnePlus 15 if its higher-tier listed processor, dedicated 3.5× optical telephoto hardware, wireless charging, or higher gaming refresh ceiling matches your priorities—and the price in your market works for you.
- Consider the TECNO POVA 8 Pro 5G if its 144Hz AMOLED display, 6,500mAh battery, and listed 45W wired charging suit your needs, and the local offer is attractive for the exact variant. These specifications do not establish longer battery life or better value without a verified local price.
- Before buying either phone across regions, verify the exact model, supported 5G bands, local warranty, seller, and included charger. The cited product pages do not establish compatibility or warranty coverage for every market.
What the specification comparison cannot tell you
The published specifications do not settle real-world gaming performance, camera output, battery endurance, display quality, or charging time. Those require independent testing under comparable conditions. For a buying decision, treat the table as a hardware and manufacturer-claim comparison, then check trustworthy testing and the exact local listing for the dimensions that matter most to you.
