The OnePlus 15 has the higher-tier chipset, larger listed battery, faster-refresh display and higher ingress rating; the Nothing Phone (4a) Pro costs less at its cited entry configuration and has a 3.5x optical-zoom periscope camera. They are not direct price-tier equivalents, so compare prices for the same storage configuration in your market before deciding.

At the time of the cited store-page snapshot, Nothing’s US store displayed the selected 8GB/128GB model at $419, with $499 struck through. Its UK store showed £519. These are separate regional listings, and the US figure was a sale display; neither should be treated as a universal or enduring price. Check the seller’s current price, promotion, availability and exact configuration in your country.
For a fairer value comparison, match RAM and storage where the same configurations are available, then compare current local prices. The cited sources do not establish a like-for-like price difference for every market and configuration.
Performance: OnePlus has the higher-tier chipset
PhoneArena lists a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 in the OnePlus 15 and a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 in the Nothing Phone (4a) Pro. That makes the OnePlus the higher-tier chipset on paper. The model names alone do not establish a particular real-world speed advantage: no controlled performance test is available in the cited material.

If demanding games or heavy workloads are a priority, the OnePlus is the stronger specification-led choice. For everyday use, the available specifications do not show how either phone performs under your specific apps or workload.
Displays: both are high-refresh AMOLED panels
PhoneArena lists a 6.8-inch AMOLED display at 165Hz for the OnePlus and a 6.8-inch AMOLED display at 144Hz for the Nothing. Android Central’s dated launch report gives the Nothing panel as 6.83 inches and 144Hz. Both phones therefore offer high-refresh AMOLED screens; the listed refresh-rate difference is not, by itself, a complete measure of display quality.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Battery and charging: capacity is not endurance
The listed capacities are 7,300mAh for the OnePlus and 5,080mAh for the Nothing. PhoneArena lists 80W wired and 50W wireless charging for the OnePlus, versus 50W wired charging for the Nothing. These are specifications, not comparable battery-life or charging-time test results; actual endurance and charging behavior are not established by the cited figures.
Android Central reports that Nothing claims its battery-management system helps the battery retain up to 90% capacity after 1,200 charge cycles. This is a company claim reported in launch coverage, not an independent test. The same report’s comparison to “around 80%” for other brands is also attributed to Nothing and should not be read as a separately verified industry benchmark. Camera: Nothing’s periscope zoom is a specific advantage
Android Central reports that the Nothing Phone (4a) Pro has a 50MP periscope telephoto camera with 3.5x optical zoom. That makes it a notable option if a dedicated telephoto lens and optical reach matter to you. The feature does not establish that it takes better photos overall: the cited material contains no comparable camera samples or controlled quality assessment.
Durability: IP69 and IP65 are not waterproof claims
PhoneArena lists IP69 for the OnePlus 15 and IP65 for the Nothing Phone (4a) Pro. These are different ingress-protection ratings; neither means a phone is waterproof. Treat the rating as one part of a durability assessment, not a guarantee against every exposure or damage scenario.
Software support: Nothing’s stated commitment is clearer here
Android Central reports that Nothing promises three major Android updates and up to six years of security updates for the Phone (4a) Pro. The cited sources do not verify the OnePlus 15’s support duration, so they do not support a direct comparison of update longevity.
Which phone fits your priorities?
Choose the OnePlus 15 if
- You want the higher-tier chipset listed in this comparison.
- You value the larger stated battery capacity and 165Hz display specification.
- You want the listed wireless-charging option or the higher ingress rating.
Consider the Nothing Phone (4a) Pro if
- You want a lower cited entry price, while checking the current local price and configuration.
- You value its documented 3.5x optical-zoom periscope camera.
- Nothing’s stated update commitment is important to your choice.
For either phone, verify the exact regional model and its network compatibility before buying. The cited comparison does not resolve local model compatibility, independent battery endurance, comparative camera quality or the OnePlus 15’s update-policy duration.
