OPPO’s official figures have two different dated snapshots. Its launch release on 2 July 2026 listed the Reno16 at ₹61,999 for 8GB+256GB and ₹67,999 for 12GB+256GB, with sales beginning 9 July. OPPO’s later details page gives ₹66,999 and ₹72,999 for those same configurations, accurate as of 31 August 2026, and notes that prices may change. The source material does not explain the difference between those snapshots.

| Marketplace snapshot, crawled 7 October 2026 | ₹54,999 shown for an Amazon listing | ₹66,999 shown for an Amazon listing |
The launch figures are from OPPO’s 2 July 2026 launch release; the later official figures are from its India details page. The marketplace amounts come from the 91mobiles comparison page and should be treated as an indicative snapshot, not a guaranteed current offer.
These figures do not establish a like-for-like price difference: the OnePlus amount is a third-party listing, while OPPO publishes prices for two specified storage configurations. Before comparing totals, check the same RAM and storage tier where available, seller, included offers, and the final checkout amount. The cited OnePlus product page does not establish a complete India configuration-and-price table, so confirm the exact variant on the listing.
Performance: a higher-tier named platform on the OnePlus
The OnePlus 13s lists Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Mobile Platform, while OPPO lists the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4. That is a meaningful difference in the platforms each maker specifies, and makes the OnePlus the more performance-oriented choice on paper. The specifications alone do not establish real-world speed, sustained performance, or a benchmark result for these two phones.

Those are OPPO’s claims, not an independent head-to-head result.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Cameras: Reno16 offers more focal-length options
The Reno16 lists three 50MP rear cameras: a main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), a 116° ultra-wide camera, and a telephoto camera with OIS and 3.5× optical zoom. The OnePlus 13s lists a 50MP wide camera and a 50MP telephoto camera with 2× optical zoom. The Reno16 therefore provides a documented ultra-wide option and a longer optical-zoom figure; the OnePlus’s listed rear-camera setup does not include an ultra-wide camera.
For selfies, OPPO specifies a 50MP autofocus front camera with a 100° field of view, compared with the OnePlus’s 32MP autofocus front camera. Resolution and field of view do not, by themselves, establish which phone produces better photos. No independent head-to-head camera testing is established by the cited material.
Display and battery: similar listed refresh rates, different capacities
Both phones list displays with refresh rates up to 120Hz and a pixel density of 460 PPI. OPPO provides more panel detail: its Reno16 5G has a 6.32-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution of 2640 × 1216 and up to 1800 nits HBM. The OnePlus product page identifies a 120Hz ProXDR display but the cited specifications do not establish a matching set of panel measurements for a direct comparison.
OPPO’s stated typical battery capacity is 6700mAh, with a rated capacity of 6490mAh; OnePlus states 5850mAh. Both list 80W SUPERVOOC charging, and OPPO says a charger is included. The larger stated typical capacity gives the Reno16 the advantage on paper, but capacity alone cannot establish longer runtime: no independent comparative battery test is provided here.
Durability and features to check
OPPO specifies IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K ratings for the India Reno16 5G. These are the ratings OPPO lists; do not assume that every exposure scenario is covered without checking the manufacturer’s terms. OnePlus’s cited product page makes a lifetime display-guarantee claim for green-line issues, but says external or human-caused damage is excluded and that the claim depends on parts supply and service-centre terms.
- Memory cards: The Reno16 5G does not support storage-card expansion.
- NFC and eSIM: OPPO says the Reno16 5G does not support NFC or eSIM.
- Software and updates: The cited material does not establish comparable software versions or update-support policies for both phones, so it is not possible to make a sourced support-length comparison here.
Which phone should you choose?
Choose the OnePlus 13s if
- You prioritize the Snapdragon 8 Elite platform and a performance-led compact-phone proposition.
- A 2× optical telephoto camera meets your needs and an ultra-wide camera is not a priority.
- The exact OnePlus variant you want is available at a checkout price that makes sense against the Reno16 configuration you would buy.
Choose the OPPO Reno16 5G if
- You want a listed ultra-wide camera as well as telephoto coverage, or value its 3.5× optical zoom specification.
- You prefer the larger stated battery capacity and want OPPO’s specified 6.32-inch AMOLED panel details.
- You need the listed IP ratings, while accepting that the model has no NFC, eSIM, or storage-card expansion.
Manufacturer specifications support a clear distinction in priorities, but do not prove an overall winner: verify the exact model, variant, and live price, then weigh the features you will use most.
