The OnePlus 13s is the stronger on-paper pick for a compact phone, a higher-tier listed chipset, a dedicated 2× telephoto camera and faster wired charging. The Samsung Galaxy A57 5G suits buyers who want a larger screen, an ultrawide camera, and documented IP68 protection and software support. In the India listings checked in 2026, the A57 was ₹8,000 more expensive, but the prices were from different sellers and configurations, so compare matching variants and checkout totals before deciding.

Which phone is better for your priorities?

Choose the OnePlus 13s for a compact phone and stronger listed performance hardware

The OnePlus 13s has the smaller listed display and uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite, with 12 GB RAM listed by 91mobiles. Those specifications make it the more performance-oriented choice on paper and a better fit if you prefer a phone that takes up less space. A chipset name alone does not establish how fast every app or game will feel in daily use.

Its rear-camera setup includes a dedicated 2× telephoto camera, which provides a distinct option for closer framing. The listed 80 W SuperVOOC wired charging is also higher than the A57’s 45 W support.

Choose the Galaxy A57 for a larger screen, ultrawide coverage and documented protection

Samsung lists a roughly 6.7-inch display, compared with 6.32 inches for the OnePlus 13s. That extra viewing area may suit reading, video and other tasks where a larger screen matters more than a compact body. Both are listed at 120 Hz, but their display technologies and resolutions differ; those specifications alone do not prove which looks better to an individual viewer.

The A57’s rear cameras include a 12 MP ultrawide, useful for fitting more into a frame, and a 5 MP macro alongside the 50 MP wide camera. Samsung also documents an IP68 rating and a defined software-support commitment, making its support and durability claims clearer in the cited official material.

How do the screens and performance compare?

Screen size and technology

The OnePlus 13s listing gives a 6.32-inch, 1216 × 2640 ProXDR LTPO screen; Samsung specifies a 17.11 cm full-rectangle Super AMOLED Plus display at 1080 × 2340. Both are listed with 120 Hz refresh rates. The OnePlus is the more compact option, while the A57 offers more screen area. Resolution and panel names are not a substitute for a side-by-side assessment of brightness, color or viewing conditions.

Chipsets

The OnePlus 13s is listed with Snapdragon 8 Elite and 12 GB RAM. Samsung identifies the A57’s Exynos 1680 and lists LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage in launch material. The listed chip tier favors OnePlus on paper, but these specifications do not establish a universal real-world speed gap; workload, software and device configuration also matter.

Which phone has the better camera?

The available specifications show different camera flexibility, not a confirmed overall image-quality winner. Both phones have a listed 50 MP main or wide camera, but the secondary rear cameras serve different purposes:

  • OnePlus 13s: a 50 MP 2× telephoto, for a tighter field of view without relying only on digital cropping.
  • Galaxy A57: a 12 MP ultrawide for broader scenes and a 5 MP macro camera, as well as a 50 MP wide camera with OIS.

The front cameras are listed at 32 MP for OnePlus and 12 MP for Samsung; Samsung specifies Super HDR support. Megapixel counts and feature labels do not establish which phone takes better photos or video. No comparable controlled camera test is available in the cited material, so choose based on the camera views you are most likely to use rather than assuming one is categorically superior.

Which phone has better battery life and charging?

The OnePlus 13s is listed with a 5,850 mAh battery and 80 W SuperVOOC charging; Samsung specifies 5,000 mAh and 45 W charging support for the A57. Capacity and charging rates are different measures: a larger rated battery does not by itself guarantee longer use, and charging speed depends on compatible equipment and conditions.

91mobiles reports PCMark battery results of 16 hours 34 minutes for the OnePlus 13s and 11 hours 36 minutes for the A57. These are that publisher’s test figures, not a guarantee of how long either phone will last for a particular person. The cited material does not establish matching test conditions, so treat the result as a limited comparison rather than a forecast of everyday endurance.

Samsung’s cited specification page does not establish wireless charging support for the A57, and the OnePlus listing does not list wireless charging. Do not infer a confirmed wireless-charging feature from that omission.

How do software support and water resistance compare?

Samsung’s launch announcement states six Android OS upgrades and six years of security updates for the Galaxy A57 and A37. Samsung India’s product specification page lists A57 security updates as valid until 31 March 2032. The cited OnePlus material does not establish an equivalent current local support term, so a direct support-duration comparison is not available here.

Samsung says the A57 is rated IP68, tested in up to 1.5 metres of fresh water for up to 30 minutes, and not recommended for beach or pool use. This is a rating under stated lab conditions, not a claim that the phone is waterproof or safe in every water exposure.

What is the India price difference?

In listings accessed in 2026, Samsung India showed ₹62,999 for the Galaxy A57 5G with 8 GB RAM and 256 GB storage. The same page showed an MRP of ₹77,999 and an offer saving of ₹15,000. 91mobiles showed the OnePlus 13s at ₹54,999 at Amazon India. The displayed difference is ₹8,000, with the Samsung listing higher.

This is a snapshot, not a like-for-like price comparison: the seller and configuration may differ, and discounts, stock and exchange offers can change. Samsung’s product page notes that features, specifications and prices are subject to change without prior notice. Check the exact storage and RAM variant, seller, and final checkout price for both phones before buying.

Which one should you buy?

  • Pick the OnePlus 13s if a more compact phone, the higher listed chipset tier, a dedicated 2× telephoto camera or faster wired charging matters most.
  • Pick the Galaxy A57 5G if you prefer a larger display, want an ultrawide camera, or value Samsung’s documented IP68 rating and stated software-support term.

Use the current checkout price for the specific variants you would actually buy as the final tiebreaker. The 2026 listings above are not a promise of today’s price or availability.

Product prices and availability are accurate as of the date/time indicated and are subject to change. Any price and availability information displayed on Amazon at the time of purchase will apply.
