The OnePlus 13 favors a sharper QHD+ display and adds wireless charging; the US OnePlus 15R lists a larger battery, a higher refresh-rate ceiling in supported apps, and a newer Snapdragon platform. A reliable price difference cannot be stated without current prices for the same market and storage tier. The choice turns on which features you value and the live price of the exact models you can buy.

Which display is better for you?
Choose the OnePlus 13 for resolution
The OnePlus 13 has a 3168 × 1440 QHD+ panel, compared with 2800 × 1272 on the 15R. Their listed screen sizes are nearly identical, so the practical distinction on paper is pixel detail rather than screen area. If fine text and high-resolution content matter more to you, the 13 has the higher listed resolution. OnePlus 13 official specifications

The 15R lists adaptive refresh modes up to 165 Hz, while the 13 lists dynamic 1–120 Hz. OnePlus says the 15R’s 144 Hz and 165 Hz modes are available only in listed apps, so those peak rates do not apply universally. A higher maximum refresh rate is not, by itself, evidence that the phone is faster in every task. OnePlus 15R official specifications
#1 Best Overall
Performance, memory, and storage
OnePlus lists a Snapdragon 8 Elite in the 13 and a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 in the 15R. The 15R therefore has the newer named platform in these specifications, but that does not establish how the phones compare in real-world speed, gaming, heat, or efficiency. No comparative benchmark results are available here.
For storage, both US configurations include 256 GB or 512 GB. The RAM options differ: the 13 pairs 12 GB with 256 GB and 16 GB with 512 GB, while the 15R lists 12 GB for both storage capacities. Compare the exact configuration you intend to buy; a price comparison between different storage tiers can be misleading. OnePlus 13 specifications · OnePlus 15R specifications
Battery capacity and charging
The US specifications list a 6,000 mAh battery for the OnePlus 13 and a 7,400 mAh typical-capacity battery for the 15R. That gives the 15R the larger stated capacity, but capacity alone does not prove which phone lasts longer: real battery life depends on the device and how it is used, and these figures are not comparable endurance tests.
Both US pages list 80W SUPERVOOC wired charging. The 13 page also lists 50W AIRVOOC wireless charging; the US 15R page does not list wireless charging. Do not assume charging specifications are identical across markets: OnePlus’s regional 15R pages can show different details. OnePlus 13 official specifications · OnePlus 15R US specifications
Camera specifications do not settle photo quality
Both phones list a 50 MP main camera with optical image stabilization. OnePlus identifies the 13’s main sensor as Sony LYT-808 and the US 15R’s as Sony IMX906. Those specifications describe the hardware, but megapixel counts and sensor names alone cannot establish which phone takes better photos. No comparative camera test is available here, so choose based on independent sample images or reviews if camera quality is decisive.

The specification pages list OxygenOS 15 based on Android 15 for the OnePlus 13, and OxygenOS 16 based on Android 16 for the US OnePlus 15R. This identifies the software versions shown on those pages; it does not establish how long either phone will receive updates. Do not infer support duration from the Android version alone.
How to compare the price difference fairly
The official pages available for this comparison do not establish current, comparable prices for both phones. A numeric difference—or a claim that one is cheaper—would be unreliable without checking current offers. Prices can vary by country, seller, storage configuration, and whether a listing is a sale or an official list price.
- Choose one country and compare prices on the same basis, such as each manufacturer’s official store or the same retailer.
- Match storage capacity: compare 256 GB with 256 GB, or 512 GB with 512 GB. Note that the listed RAM differs for some configurations.
- Record the price and date checked for each phone. Label a sale price as a sale, and distinguish it from the official list price.
- If a phone is unavailable from the chosen seller or appears only in third-party listings, say so rather than treating those listings as equivalent official offers.
- Subtract the two matched prices to calculate the difference. Recheck before purchasing because offers and stock can change.
OnePlus’s US OnePlus 15R product page provides a route to its purchase information, but its existence does not establish a current price or stock status. For launch context, OnePlus announced the 13 for North America on January 7, 2025; that dated announcement is not a current price source. OnePlus North America launch announcement
Quick Recap
Which phone should you choose?
- Favor the OnePlus 13 if QHD+ resolution or listed 50W wireless charging matters more to you.
- Favor the OnePlus 15R if its larger stated battery capacity, newer listed Snapdragon platform, or higher refresh-rate modes in supported apps better match your priorities.
- Compare exact prices before deciding if cost is the deciding factor. The specifications alone do not identify the better value, and a fair price difference requires same-market, same-storage figures checked at the same time.
