There is no verified like-for-like current price comparison here, so buyers should check prices for the same country and storage configuration before deciding.
Which is better: OnePlus 12 or OnePlus Nord 6?
There is no universal winner. The OnePlus 12 is the more flexible choice on paper for photography that benefits from optical zoom, and it supports wireless charging. The newer Nord 6 is built around battery capacity and a high-refresh display. Your best fit depends on which of those differences matters more—and on the current price and exact model available in your country.

The comparison is also between phones from different launch periods and product tiers. OnePlus announced the OnePlus 12 in India on January 23, 2024; the Nord 6 launched in India on April 7, 2026. Age alone does not establish which phone performs better in everyday use. OnePlus’s OnePlus 12 announcement and Nord 6 product page provide the India-specific launch and specification information.

How do the cameras compare?
OnePlus 12: more reach on paper
The OnePlus 12 has a main camera, an ultra-wide camera and a 64 MP 3x periscope telephoto camera, according to OnePlus’s January 2024 announcement. That gives it a dedicated telephoto option the Nord 6 lacks, making the 12 the more versatile setup on paper for subjects best captured at a tighter focal length.
Nord 6: main and ultra-wide, without a dedicated telephoto
The Nord 6’s listed rear cameras are a 50 MP main and an 8 MP ultra-wide. Android Central reviewer Harish Jonnalagadda’s April 8, 2026 review reports inconsistent camera results and no dedicated telephoto lens. Those are the reviewer’s findings about the Nord 6, not the result of a controlled head-to-head test against the OnePlus 12. Camera megapixel counts alone do not establish which phone takes better photos overall.
Which has better battery life?
The Nord 6 has the larger rated capacity: OnePlus advertises 9,000 mAh, compared with the 5,400 mAh listed for the OnePlus 12 in its launch announcement. Capacity is not the same as measured runtime, and actual battery life varies with settings, signal, apps and usage.
In his April 8, 2026 Nord 6 review, Harish Jonnalagadda reported getting two days of use with heavy use and praised its battery life. That is a reviewer’s experience with the Nord 6, not a controlled comparison with the OnePlus 12. It nevertheless gives the Nord 6 a positive independent endurance report alongside its higher advertised capacity.
Display: higher resolution or higher refresh rate?
OnePlus lists a 2K 120 Hz ProXDR display for the OnePlus 12 and a 1.5K 165 Hz AMOLED display for the Nord 6. These specifications describe different trade-offs: the 12 has the higher listed resolution, while the Nord 6 has the higher advertised maximum refresh rate.
A maximum refresh rate does not mean every app or game will run at that rate. Jonnalagadda’s April 2026 review says the Nord 6’s 165 Hz mode is not usable outside select games. If smoothness is a deciding factor, check whether the games and apps you use support the available high-refresh modes.
Charging and durability
Wired and wireless charging
OnePlus advertises up to 100 W wired charging for the OnePlus 12 in most regions, with 80 W in North America, and 50 W AIRVOOC wireless charging. The India Nord 6 product page lists 80 W wired charging. These are manufacturer-stated maximums; check the regional model and required charging accessories rather than assuming every market or charger delivers the same rate.

Water and dust resistance
OnePlus advertises IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K ratings for the Nord 6. A third-party comparison lists IP65 for its OnePlus 12 variant. Ratings and warranty terms may vary by model and region; verify the exact SKU and warranty limitations before relying on either phone’s water-resistance rating.

What is the OnePlus 12 vs Nord 6 price difference?
A current price difference cannot be established from the available figures. OnePlus India’s offer table listed the Nord 6 at ₹39,949 for 8/256 GB and ₹45,049 for 12/256 GB as September 2026 customer prices before applicable stated discounts. The offer period ended in September, so those are historical promotional prices—not current October prices or a confirmed permanent retail price. The same source set does not establish a current OnePlus 12 price for a like-for-like comparison. Check OnePlus India’s offers page for current offer details.
To work out the real difference, compare both phones in the same country, with the same storage capacity where available, and under the same seller and offer conditions. Separate ordinary selling prices from bank discounts, exchange offers and trade-in values; a promotion on one phone should not be compared with the other phone’s undiscounted price.
Software support and availability
OnePlus advertises four Android OS updates and six years of security updates for the Nord 6. A directly comparable official OnePlus 12 support commitment for the relevant region is not established here, so the available information does not support a definitive software-support winner.

Quick Recap
Which phone should you choose?
- Choose the OnePlus 12 if: a dedicated 3x periscope camera and wireless charging are priorities, and its current local price and warranty suit you.
- Consider the Nord 6 if: you value its much higher advertised battery capacity and newer high-refresh display, and its camera setup meets your needs.
- Compare before buying if: price, software-support duration, storage or durability is decisive. Verify the same-market variants and current terms rather than relying on an expired promotion or a specification from another region.
