The OnePlus 13s is the more compact option, with a newer-named Snapdragon 8 Elite platform and a larger stated battery capacity. For the same 12GB+256GB configuration, the cited figures differ by ₹10,000—but they compare the OnePlus 12’s listed MRP with the OnePlus 13s’s June 2025 launch price, not today’s selling prices.
OnePlus 12 vs OnePlus 13s: specs comparison
| Specification | OnePlus 12 | OnePlus 13s |
|---|---|---|
| Display | 6.82-inch QHD+, 1–120 Hz LTPO | 6.32-inch compact display; OnePlus describes it as 16.05 cm |
| Weight | 220 g | 185 g |
| Chipset | Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 | Snapdragon 8 Elite |
| Rear cameras | 50MP main, 64MP 3x periscope telephoto, and ultra-wide | 50MP wide and 50MP 2x telephoto |
| Front camera | Regional configuration should be checked on the official listing | 32MP autofocus, according to OnePlus |
| Battery capacity | 5,400 mAh | 5,850 mAh |
| Charging | 100W wired and 50W wireless listed | 80W wired; wireless charging support is not confirmed by the cited India product information |
The clearest physical difference is size: the 12’s display is 0.5 inches larger diagonally, and its stated weight is 35 g higher. The 13s is easier to carry and handle compactly, while the 12 gives more screen area. Display diagonal alone does not describe every aspect of viewing comfort.

The chip names establish that the 13s uses the newer-named platform, but they do not prove how much faster it is in everyday use, gaming or sustained workloads. Likewise, camera resolution and lens descriptions do not establish which phone takes better photos.

The OnePlus 12 has a dedicated 64MP 3x periscope telephoto camera, while the OnePlus 13s lists a 50MP 2x telephoto camera. On the listed hardware, the 12 offers greater optical reach for distant subjects. The 13s has a simpler stated rear-camera setup of a wide camera and a 2x telephoto.
#1 Best Overall
- Made from the high quality TPU film for easy installation and no residue when removed
- High definition transparency film that ensures maximum resolution
- Real touch sensitivity for a natural feel that provides flawless touch screen accuracy
- Protects your screen from daily scratches, dust and scrapes
- Include 2 pcs screen protectors
That hardware distinction is useful when choosing what to prioritize, but it is not a photo-quality verdict. Image processing, low-light performance and video quality require comparable testing; megapixel counts alone cannot settle them.
Battery and charging
The OnePlus 13s lists a 5,850 mAh battery, compared with 5,400 mAh in the OnePlus 12. The larger stated capacity does not, by itself, establish longer battery life: screen size, chipset behavior, software and usage also affect endurance.
For charging options, the 12 lists 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. The 13s lists 80W wired charging. The cited OnePlus India product information emphasizes wired charging for the 13s and does not confirm wireless support, so do not assume it has that feature.
OnePlus 12 vs OnePlus 13s price difference in India
| Configuration | OnePlus 12 listed MRP | OnePlus 13s June 2025 launch price | 13s launch price with stated bank discount |
|---|---|---|---|
| 12GB+256GB | ₹64,999 | ₹54,999 | ₹49,999 |
| Higher storage configuration | 16GB+512GB: ₹69,999 | 12GB+512GB: ₹59,999 | 12GB+512GB: ₹54,999 |
For the matching 12GB+256GB configuration, ₹64,999 minus ₹54,999 is ₹10,000. That is a comparison between the OnePlus 12 MRP listed on OnePlus India’s specifications page and the OnePlus 13s price announced at launch in June 2025. The ₹49,999 figure was the 13s launch price with the bank discount stated in that announcement, not its undiscounted price.

OnePlus’s June 2025 announcement scheduled Amazon pre-booking from June 5, 2025; that historical notice does not verify a current listing, seller or price.
