Performance and storage
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 replaces the 11R’s Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. That is a newer flagship-tier platform, while the 13R’s listed India configurations also use faster-generation memory and storage: LPDDR5X and UFS 4.0, compared with the 11R’s listed LPDDR5 and UFS 3.1 base version. These specifications favor the 13R for demanding apps and keeping the phone longer, but they are not a substitute for device-specific performance testing.

Display
The 13R’s 6.78-inch 1.5K panel is slightly larger and higher-resolution than the 11R’s 6.74-inch FHD+ panel listed by 91mobiles. Both are specified at 120Hz, so the clearest stated distinction is resolution and size rather than refresh rate. The 13R is flat; its official specifications describe it as a flat ProXDR display.
Battery and charging
The 13R has a listed 6,000mAh battery, against 5,000mAh for the 11R. The 11R’s stated 100W charging rate is higher than the 13R’s 80W in India; North American 13R specifications list 55W. Battery capacity and peak charging wattage alone do not establish real-world battery life or which phone will finish charging first: usage, charger, temperature and charging behavior matter.
Camera hardware
The 13R’s most concrete camera-hardware change is its 50MP portrait camera with 2× optical zoom. The 11R comparison listing instead shows a 2MP macro camera as its third rear camera. The 13R also specifies a 50MP Sony LYT-700 main camera with optical image stabilization and an 8MP ultra-wide. These differences describe hardware, not a hands-on verdict on image quality.

Choose the 13R if
- You want the newer Snapdragon platform and newer listed memory and storage standards.
- A sharper screen, larger listed battery or a dedicated 2× optical-zoom portrait camera matters to you.
- You can get the configuration you want at a verified price that justifies the upgrade.
Keep or consider the 11R if
- Your current 11R still meets your needs, so the cost of replacing it is not justified by these specification changes alone.
- You prioritize its higher stated India wired-charging rate, or find a 11R at a compelling price with trustworthy condition, seller and warranty details.
Before buying an older 11R, check whether it is new, refurbished or used, confirm the exact storage configuration, and verify warranty coverage. The sources cited here do not establish a complete 11R-specific software-support schedule; do not assume another OnePlus model’s update commitment applies to it.

On specifications, the OnePlus 13R is the more capable and versatile phone, with the 11R’s clearest listed advantage being 100W wired charging in India.
