To join the One UI Beta Program in the UK, open Samsung Members on an eligible Galaxy phone, sign in with the Samsung Account associated with the device, register through the app’s Beta Program banner or card, then install the offered update from Settings > Software update > Download and install. Eligibility depends on the device, software version, country and active beta period, so check Samsung Members before making plans.
Check whether your Galaxy is eligible
Samsung restricts beta access to specific devices, operating-system versions and countries, and availability changes between beta periods. The UK is not a universal access route for every Galaxy model. Samsung’s May 13, 2026 announcement said the One UI 9 beta was launching in select markets, including the UK, and named Galaxy S26 series users as able to apply. That dated announcement does not establish eligibility for other devices or later beta releases. Check the live listing in Samsung Members. Register through Samsung Members
- Open Samsung Members on the Galaxy device you want to enroll. Sign in with the Samsung Account associated with that device; Samsung requires an account to participate.
- Find the Beta Program listing. Depending on what is currently available, use the home-screen banner or the Beta Card in the app.
- Choose the One UI Beta Program registration and submit your intention to participate. Registration is subject to Samsung’s eligibility criteria; seeing a listing does not guarantee acceptance.
- Install the beta when it is offered. On the enrolled device, go to Settings > Software update > Download and install. Samsung also identifies the beta test detail page as an installation route.

What “the UK method” does—and does not—mean
The supported UK route is enrollment through Samsung Members when Samsung makes a beta available for your country and device. Samsung’s instructions do not say that changing a phone’s region, inserting a UK SIM or eSIM, or connecting through a UK VPN makes an unsupported device eligible.
A Samsung Members community post dated June 13, 2026 describes region changes, a UK SIM or eSIM, and a UK VPN. It is an individual user’s post, not Samsung’s official procedure or evidence that this approach is reliable, supported or safe. Read the community post with that distinction in mind.

Back up and understand the risks before installing
Samsung describes the program as voluntary and says participation has no fee, though data-network charges may apply; it recommends Wi-Fi for downloads. Beta software is released for testing and may contain bugs, errors or inaccuracies, behave unexpectedly, or cause data loss. Samsung recommends backing up the device to a computer with Smart Switch before installing. The decision is whether early access and the chance to provide feedback are worth using software that may be less stable than the official release. Withdraw or return to official software
- Withdraw in Samsung Members: open Samsung Members > Settings > Beta program settings > Withdraw from beta program.
- If you installed the beta, roll back using Smart Switch for PC. Samsung says rollback resets the device and removes data generated during beta testing. Back up first; Samsung says a computer backup can be restored afterward.
- If you registered but did not install the beta, Samsung says you can keep using the current official software after withdrawing.
