OBS में “keep PC awake” का अलग documented switch नहीं है। Windows 11 में Settings > System > Power & battery > Screen, sleep, & hibernate timeouts खोलें और plugged-in स्थिति में Make my device sleep after को Never या आपकी stream से अधिक समय पर सेट करें। Monitor बंद करना हो तो Turn my screen off after को अलग से कम अवधि पर रखें—screen बंद होना और PC का sleep होना अलग बातें हैं।
Windows 11 में PC को sleep होने से कैसे रोकें
- Stream PC को AC power से जोड़ें। Laptop इस्तेमाल कर रहे हैं तो lid बंद करने पर क्या होता है, यह भी जाँचें; lid action, sleep timeout से अलग control हो सकता है।
- Start > Settings > System > Power & battery > Screen, sleep, & hibernate timeouts खोलें।
- Make my device sleep after के plugged-in विकल्प को Never चुनें, या ऐसा समय चुनें जो आपकी stream की अवधि से लंबा हो। उपलब्ध विकल्प device के अनुसार अलग हो सकते हैं।
- Display बुझाना हो तो Turn my screen off after को अपनी पसंद की छोटी अवधि पर सेट करें। इससे sleep timeout अपने-आप नहीं बदलता।
- सेटिंग लागू होने के बाद उसी power source, screen state और OBS scene के साथ stream test करें।
Microsoft के अनुसार यह setting तय करती है कि उपयोग न होने पर device को sleep में जाने से पहले कितना इंतज़ार करना चाहिए; plugged-in और battery स्थितियों के विकल्प अलग हो सकते हैं (Windows power settings)।

यदि PC फिर भी sleep में चला जाए
केवल Windows timeout ही power behavior को प्रभावित नहीं कर सकता। Manufacturer utility, lid या power-button action, scheduled maintenance अथवा device policy जैसी अलग controls जाँचें। उपलब्ध विकल्प और उनका व्यवहार hardware और configuration के अनुसार बदल सकते हैं।

Sleep timeout बदलने से PC जागा रह सकता है, लेकिन इससे बिजली या internet चालू रहने, OBS के crash न होने, या encoder पर पर्याप्त क्षमता होने की गारंटी नहीं मिलती। OBS बताता है कि compatible system होना streaming क्षमता की गारंटी नहीं है: CPU की जरूरत encoder, resolution, frame rate और scene complexity के अनुसार बदलती है (OBS system requirements)।

यदि OBS में encoding overload दिखे या stream रुकने लगे, तो GPU load घटाएँ, अन्य भारी GPU applications बंद करके देखें और जरूरत पड़ने पर settings सरल करें। ये कदम encoding समस्या के लिए हैं; ये Windows sleep setting का विकल्प नहीं हैं (OBS encoding performance troubleshooting)।
OBS और YouTube encoder को सही तरह जाँचें
- YouTube Live Control Room में encoder के लिए server URL और stream key लें और उन्हें OBS के stream settings में दर्ज करें। Stream key निजी रखें।
- OBS में stream शुरू करें और Live Control Room में preview तथा stream health देखें। YouTube encoder setup में stream शुरू करने और health की जाँच करने के चरण शामिल हैं (YouTube Live encoder setup)।
- Bitrate को अपनी वास्तविक upload क्षमता और stream के दृश्य के अनुसार चुनें। YouTube upload bitrate जाँचने और वास्तविक जैसे audio तथा motion के साथ test करने की सलाह देता है; हर PC और connection के लिए एक ही bitrate सही नहीं होता।
- लंबे समय के लिए stream चलाने से पहले अपनी intended resolution, frame rate, scene और audio के साथ test करें। YouTube की encoder guidance में RTMP/RTMPS, H.264 और CBR जैसे विकल्पों का उल्लेख है (YouTube live encoder settings)।
12 घंटे से लंबी stream के replay की सीमा
YouTube Help के अनुसार 12 घंटे से कम की live stream अपने-आप archive हो सकती है, जबकि 12 घंटे से लंबी stream शायद capture न हो। यह सीमा archive की गारंटी नहीं है। यदि replay की पूरी प्रति जरूरी है, तो local recording backup रखें और लंबे stream के YouTube archive पर अकेले निर्भर न रहें (YouTube live stream archive; पृष्ठ पर प्रकाशन वर्ष निर्दिष्ट नहीं, 3 अक्टूबर 2026 को सत्यापित)।
