What the Objecto H4 is—and what “hybrid” means
Objecto’s H4 Hybrid Humidifier (model HM27-9) combines an ultrasonic vibration plate with a heater, water tank, remote control, aroma base, and three mist settings, according to its user manual. RTINGS describes the water as heated to 60 °C, but found the emitted mist close to room temperature in its testing. The heating feature cannot be turned off, according to RTINGS, so “hybrid” should not be read as a selectable warm-mist mode.

How well it suits a room
For room sizing, RTINGS’ measured performance is more useful than an advertised coverage area. Its 2024 review, modified in 2026, reports a tested humidification capacity of 3.1 L/day and 1.7 L of usable tank capacity. Those results point toward a smaller or medium room rather than a large, open-plan space.
Consumer Reports’ product listing classifies the H4 for a medium room and gives a claimed coverage area of 450 ft². That is a product listing figure, not a demonstrated coverage result; Consumer Reports’ detailed scores were not available in the listing consulted. See Consumer Reports’ H4 listing.

Runtime, output, and power use
The manual and RTINGS report different runtime figures, so they should not be treated as one guaranteed expectation. The manual lists approximate output of 6 oz/hour on high, 3 oz/hour on low, and 1.3 oz/hour at minimum; it estimates about 11 hours on high and 20 hours on medium. RTINGS reports a maximum runtime of 13 hours in its testing. Actual runtime depends on settings and use conditions.
The manual specifies 48 W power consumption. Separately, RTINGS reports 68 Wh humidifier energy consumption in its test context. The figures describe different things: the manual’s power specification is not the same measure as energy consumed over a test. Neither establishes what the unit will add to a household bill; that depends on electricity rates and operating time. RTINGS also notes that the heater operates while the humidifier is in use and contributes to higher power draw.
Cleaning and ongoing care
RTINGS found that the H4 comes apart fairly easily, but cleaning still takes effort: several parts require hand-washing, none are dishwasher-safe, and some tight areas are difficult to reach. If you want a humidifier that can be cleaned quickly or put in a dishwasher, this is a meaningful drawback to weigh before buying.

The manual names a ceramic disc set, part IMM-DISC001, and replacement aroma felt. Objecto’s catalog lists a Ceramic Disk, Aroma Tray, and Felt Tabs. Confirm that a listed part is compatible with model HM27-9 and in stock before ordering. The manual directs users to put essential oils on the aroma felt in the base, not in the water reservoir.

RTINGS compares the H4 with the Levoit LV600S and Vicks V750. Its review says the H4 falls short of the comparably priced LV600S in performance. It also says the H4 does not produce meaningfully warm emitted mist in the reviewer’s assessment, unlike the Vicks V750. These are review-level comparisons; the findings here do not establish a universal ranking for every room or use case.
Who should consider the H4?
- Consider it if you need a humidifier for a bedroom or smaller-to-medium room and are comfortable hand-washing its components.
- Look elsewhere if you need strong output for a large open area, want an off switch for the heater, or prioritize low-effort cleaning.
- Check before buying if replacement parts matter to you: verify availability and HM27-9 compatibility for the ceramic disc and aroma components.
